A manual transmission driver always puts the vehicle in gear to help the vehicle from rolling with the parking brake. When starting, press the clutch pedal and or put the stick in neutral.

The repair order should legally bind the dealership to certain responsibilities especially when on their property and in their possession. Under their supervision of managers ect.

Now cycle both of the oils through an engine under the exact same conditions for 3 thousand miles.. These types of tests are literally useless besides the possible entertainment value..The combustion process is essentially an opposing force to oil..One is trying to save your engine while the other is literally trying to blow it apart. Things like oxidation, low speed pre ignition, knock, fuel dilution (not to mention the effects of enthanol in fuel) and the actual combination of additives..things like driving behavior and environment are huge variables that these room temp flow tests doesnt even take into consideration. Its about as useful as two brothers comparing who's turd is longer when crapping downhill.

OK after looking at some of your other videos I would presume your fully aware of the things I mentioned but You should make a video summarizing oils and how they all start with a certain base, how the bases aren't all created equally, and how their differing detergent packages react to their engine(port/DI) and personal usage(enviroment/driving style). I think people could get some entertainment and education from that. I respect the hustle.

The Techron claim is to clean in a tankful. Your test is half tanked. Word to the wise: Try really following the label directions and duplicating the claims. Most likely you'd have to run Techron for a while to make a difference on those engines; it'd be interesting to see what they look like after a tank. I don't like or dislike Techron but what's fair is fair and this "test" isn't adequate let alone fair.

I had an old accord EX with 350k mi. which was one of the earliest models to have vtec. After running the high mileage platinum for 3yrs, I decided to have a friend teach me how to adjust the vtec. When we inspected the cams, they were spotless, and showed virtually no wear or scoring. My friend was shocked. He modified & repaired a lot of hondas during his time as an automotive tech, and he had never seen the camshaft in such a pristine condition from a car with such high mileage. I also ran the platinum in my old camry, which had been neglected by its previous owners. And along with other repairs & fluid changes that it needed when I bought the car, it has regained about 90% of it's original power output from the factory. It's got 240k mi. now, and after driving it everyday for the 3.5yrs, it still drives like new b/c of the high mileage platinum synthetic. All the cars I own are older japanese cars from the 90's-mid 00's and the high mileage platinum is the only oil I've ran in all my cars aince the oil first came out. It has proven itself everytime I drive any of my cars.

Manufacturers have been against synthetic oils until they themselves did it. Having used Amsoil for 40+ years including in my custom's and never had an engine failure. Manufacturers also are against small independent companies like Amsoil because the big oil companies pay or in other fashion contribute to the car makers. Biggest fan of Amsoil is Gale Banks of Banks Engineering and Banks Performance, who is an engineer and holder of many automotive engineering concepts and awards. I'll go with him.

I know it says the Autowit could take up to 1 hour to charge. In my experience, even low batteries charged it in less than 3 minutes except for one bad battery that was completely dead. I checked several other reviews here on KZread and they all said the same.

The problem with SuperTech is it is a "re-brand" filter. Next month Walmart could strike a deal with Fram, or any number of off shore manufacturers, and you would unknowingly be buying a low quality filter.

This is extremely sad. Being a mechanic his whole life I'm not sure why he didn't know that the stick was in first unless maybe he was just looking and visually it looked like it was in neutral and he didn't try to wiggle it into neutral to make sure or something?. Very very sad. Terrible way to go

A smart mechanic will first check for a bypassed clutch switch ! These malfunction and when jumped will allow the car to roll or even start when the key is placed in start position. Been there done that.

The problem with fram and any store brand filter is comsistency and quality control. Fram quality varies wildly from batch to batch. Store brands switch manufacurers and construction constantly and you never know the quality when this happens.
