  Gotta save money however they can, save the paint, they'll never notice! You'd be surprised when really looking under a new truck that is still on the lot at how many rusty, unpainted parts there are. I've got a 36 year old daily driver that anytime I replace parts on it, if it isn't painted, it gets some primer and paint before installing, costs me next to nothing and they stay rust free through the years.
