    Did your temp gauge work ? I am about to start a swap on my 98 tahoe and I was under the impression you need to keep the wiring and sensor off the 98 harness that went to the sender in the cylinder head. Single green wire I believe

    @houstontaylor9799 my project has actually been idle for about a month. I knew I had 2 temp sensors on the 350 and tried the one on top. If it doesn't work, I'll be moving to the other, on the head.

    Can it read recently deleted codes?

  • @macsboneyardbuilds
    @macsboneyardbuilds5 күн бұрын

    Not that I have found. It does show when a system is not ready/recently cleared. If you or someone else goes in and clears all codes, all emissions systems will show red in color. Once it runs and is driven, it will slowly start to check them, and if it's working properly, they will turn green. If something is still not fixed or corrected, it will stay red and throw the MIL light again.

    I'm fighting the gas gauge in a 96. The purple wire runs from the pump into a connector under the brake booster. It continues into the firewall pass-through block, straight to the gauge from what I understand. I've followed the lt1 swap instructions but still cannot get the gauge to read correctly. Once the wire is hooked up, the needle points at the temp gauge...lol. I still don't understand why the purple wire needs to feed into C2-38 - so what connects to the wire going into the gauge if it's a direct feed?

  • @macsboneyardbuilds
    @macsboneyardbuilds9 күн бұрын

    @jway156 I'm still fighting it as well, haha. So I've figured out the sending unit sends 18-248 ohm signal, but the gauge is 0-90 ohm. So the pcm recalculates the numbers and it has to be corrected in the tune. An express van uses the same and needs segment swapped or copied over in the tune. I'm working on another video if I can ever get it going.
