The last few times I’ve seen the Samples has been a huge disappointment. Sean is absolutely shit housed, hammered by the second or third song. I’m glad I got to be a part of their hey day, traveling within a five state region to be at their concerts. Mishawaka…. unbelievable. Come on back to us Sean before it’s too late! I want to take my two teenagers to hear you sing!

Sadly I have to agree. They were such an important part of my life's equation, including my beautiful late wife (who didn't know them) surprising me with a trip to their reunion in Colorado (maybe around this time period?). Sean forgot many words to his own songs but the audience filled in. The persistent pain of losing my angel to the forces of addiction is indescribable, and I can only hope and pray it doesn't claim others (we love you Sean!). I hope you have a wonderful opportunity to share this meaningful part of you with them.

Was at CSU from 1990 to late 1995, and saw Samples once. Had girlfriend in late 1992 who was a big fan and introduced me to the band. Since that time, I have been hooked. I give her credit for this, and she was a huge dolphin fan. MRM, 07/04/1975 (I think that is the correct bday)

It was a Casio PG-380. Ibanez body, Casio electronics. Cool ass guitar. Made from 1987-91. Will can correct me since he knows best but I've had one since 2003.

Might be Karl Dietel. When I saw him play with them he was introduced as being from Eugene, Oregon; he's now a music teacher in New Jersey. They used to record shows and then edit and sell them in the lobby. He played an awesome keyboard jam and I bought one in hopes it was on there. Oh, and he fronts a Billy Joel tribute band now!
