Wtf is a child led therapy
Therapy where you take the child’s lead 👍🏽
Most of our field is not that hard to comprehend until a professor teaches it. This video is all I needed , and it made perfect sense for once.
😅 I’m so glad I could help!
This video was helpful , can you do CELF -P2 and the Arizona -4? 🙏🏼
Yay! I’m glad I could help. Will add it to the list!
Do you add upp all 1s and 0’s for all su test?
Your raw score is how many points you got overall 😁 double check with the manual as well for more explanation and examples 😀
Please do CELF P-2! And Arizona articulation test
Adding up to the list ☺️
Hello! Thanknyou for info!
Hello! You are so welcome !
That intro!!
Sometimes we need a reminder of how far we’ve come ☺️
I actually get it lol. I’ve struggled with understanding SOAP note since grad school smh. I just put everything in one box lol Thanks lady!
Yay! So glad I could help out, it’s why I’m here 😁
Thank you for this video! as a SLP student currently on a hospital placement this was extremely helpful and super clear! If you have the time I'd love to see how to administer and score the RITLS and any other standardised tests for infants? And any useful information about cleft lip/palate and how it affects speech and language development? :)
You are so welcome! I will add these videos to the list for sure!
excellent! thanks!

Not me tearing up at your intro! I just got accepted into my #1 grad school choice for social work- before I got to even apply to the rest of the grad schools I intended to apply to 😂🎉
🤩wow, that is so amazing! Congratulations! Looks like you can relax the rest of the semester 😎😂🥳
🙏 thanks!

You are so welcome! I hope it went well! I’m sure you did awesome ☺️
Thanks!
Not a problem ☺️
Some of my favorite learning moments with any of my kids is when I mess up or make a mistake and get to belly laugh with the kids. It’s such a good experience for them to see perfection isn’t what we are striving for AND it helps to strengthen rapport.
Exactly! When you focus on natural experiences and genuine connection, that’s when the kiddos learn the most!
This video was such a joy to watch from a perspective of someone who really wanted that and now i literally have it. I needed the energy of that video, thanks!
Yes! I’m so glad to hear that you got into grad school, it’s not an easy task! I’m glad that I could provide some good energy for you 😁
Hi! I’m considering going into speech pathology. I’m a little worried about whether I’d need to be good at small talk and getting to know people. I’m autistic and I’ve struggled with befriending clients in previous jobs. Do you think I need to be good at small talk?
Also, do you think it would be helpful that I’m fluent in American Sign Language?
I think overall the goal is to connect with you clients and you can do that with are without small talk 😁 you can just be yourself!
Hi <3 what kind of condition can have a child to use this toy?... I have to do a presentation with this toy at College.
Hi! Absolutely any child can play with these toys.
Please show us how to administer and score the CAAP-2
I’ll add it to the list!!
Do you have a GFTA-3 video?
Not yet! But I’ll add it to the list
Needed a quick refresher and this was perfect!
Awesome! I’m glad I could help 😄
Thank you 🙏🏾
Not a problem ☺️
Thanks for the video! Very helpful and orderly
Yay! I’m glad I could help out 😄
I love your videos, they are very informative! New subscriber here!
Wow, thanks so much 😄 you’re videos are awesome as well!
Thank you! I'm in my second semester of grad school. Reading the manual just doesn't click for me.
You’re welcome! I’m glad I could add this extra tool to your belt 😁
You're a lifesaver, thank you for making this!
Not a problem, glad I could help 😁
Help. I have parents that let their child do basically anything they want. They don’t reinforce rules unless they are mad. They spend more time on their phones than talking to their child. How do I get them involved?
Hiii! I km not sure if this is speech related or not but I love having parents in my session so we can work and brainstorm together 🙂
Parents should get one year parental leave. 😊
Agreed that would be so helpful!
Thank you for this! It is soooo helpful as a graduate student!
You’re very welcome! I needed this in grad school for sure lol
You're awesome! 🙂
😁 aw thanks!!!
its fine for her but them doing that all day in the Whitehouse is getting ridiculous
You ever have kids who can’t form certain consonants so they learn to skip the letters entirely, then you realize they can’t ever breathe through their nose apparently. Are those related? Is that a thing you see? Cause my niece is like that and people think she’s some kind of autistic or something.
Have her parents taken her to a speech pathologist? It might not be autism, just some other cause affecting her pronunciation.
I see kids with many difficulties with pronouncing sounds 😁 I always recommend getting an evaluation with a speech-language pathologist in your area if you’re ever concerned!
Thank you so much! Is there a formula or table that talks about how to use this data to determine standard deviations? The formula I have is complex and doesn't really track with student performance. Thanks!
You’re so welcome! I believe on the second page of the booklet there is their own version of standard deviations. I would also check the manual 😁
what about finding descriptive terms for sub tests?
Great question! The second page of the test booklet has a chart for the scores and shows what falls in average, below avg., etc. Also check the manual!
You are so wonderful!! Thank you for this video
I am so glad I could help 🫶🏽😎
This is so so helpful!! Thank you
You’re so welcome!
Looks awesome!! How thoughtful you are a true blessing❤
Thanks so much 😊 I hope my patients are getting a good use of them!
Thank you so much ! This was so helpful!
You’re very welcome!!
This helped me soooo much I was so confused about the reversal rule and I needed to hear someone say it a different way, thank you so much!!!
Yay! I’m so glad I could help 💁🏽♀️
My interview is in 2hours !! I’m scared
Wow. How did it go?
How was the interview!? I hope it went well 😁
@@jazzyoslp3.0 Thanks for asking it went well back then but the professor has no funding he wanted me to self fund as his grant was rejected 💔 and I obviously can’t afford that I told him the same reason that I wish I could but…
@@akinfaderinoyin1615 and as for the questions they were real simple and it was quite clear he was just asking the following for just formality: 1- why this university 2- why him The professor already has mentioned that he was looking for someone with the background I have.. and as for the current scenario I think they only ask for meeting when they’ve decided to choose you.. it’s just a formality for him and for me a chance to ask about the project details and fundings
Thank you so much! I am a CF and I’ve been working with Adults (SNF) . I haven’t been with peds since before grad school as a slpa. This helps. I start a pt clinic position this week ❤
You are so welcome! The PLS-5 is rough when you’ve been working with adults lol I’m glad I could help 😌
This is very helpful! Thank you for making these!
Yay! You’re so welcome!
Thank you soooo much for this!! Getting back into working with children after years of adults-only hospital work. Really appreciate the time you took to go through this!!
You’re so welcome 😊 I’m glad I could help, the PLS-5 can feel tough at times but you got it!
