thank you so so much for all the videos and live streams, they really helped me understand many topics which I would never before. Jim and Graham you guys are legends and I hope you keep doing these lives for the future A-level students. All the best!!
You are so welcome!
Hi, how does mental illness and suicide relate to interactionism - how would you talk about it in a 20 marker for example. Would it add to an argument to how society is deviant and not the criminal because of labelling?
where is the power point?
Hi can someone tell me where the power point is pls :) ?
Could we say that FDI opening up in areas with low employment opportunities can have some degree of monopsony power such as exploiting desperate workers with lower wages ?
Good evaluation point
Is that all we need to know for field work
I know it’s not important but I got Mongolia straight away 💪🏼 watching this just before the exam just memorising some data
Hope it goes well today
@@tutor2u-official what a video to watch before the exam. The questions were on regional inequalities in the uk and policies to help tackle that. Not to get too far ahead of myself but a nice grade incoming. Geoff has sorted me right out 💪🏼 cheers Geoff
Hi Geoff just wanted to say thank you immensely for the work you and everyone else in the team put into these streams. Very rarely joined live but watched every single one on catch up, and they've helped me so much. Will be going to sleep shortly before the big paper 3 tomorrow. You may just have saved my grade 🙏🙏
Much appreciated - good luck in Paper 3
Its time to cook
Do you need to use diagrams to get into the top mark band?
Yes
For the 10 marker would you ever need a diagram or just solely data references from the extract?
Data references from the extract please! Diagram might be helpful
Thank you guys 🙏
I don’t see the difference between commitment and involvement they seem the exact same
Hi, sorry, just a question: If a 12 marker explicitly says you have to draw a cost and revenue diagram, do you need a second point as well? Or can you just draw the diagram, explain (with application) and evaluate it?
Developed diagram usually takes the place of the 2nd KAA point - but you will still need two separate evaluation points - good luck!
Thank you so much guys. You have assisted me so much through my A level and have improved my grades. I was working at a grade C at the start of A levels and after watching your videos, I was able to get an A in my mocks. I hope to achieve those grade for my a level and thank you so much for taking us along this journey. The paper went by quite well and was shocked to see that the case study was only a page long with 3 appendices. Other than that, I hope you both do well teaching students over the years and am sad that I must part ways 😢. Thank you!
So pleased it went well. And thank you for your kind words. Please let us know how you get on in August. But before that, have a wonderful summer. [Jim]
Hi Geoff and Team -- cheers for all the content, been proper useful for my exams. Just wondering if you had any good book recommendations on Austerity? You've said a few times that you aren't a fan, so I'm interested in learning some more about the economic theory behind it. Cheers.
Thanks! Not sure about any one particular book that is sufficiently up-to-date but this Guardian landing page has some interesting background and commentary www.theguardian.com/business/austerity
I am 10 minutes into this video and im only now realising this is business not economics 😂
could you please explain what is meant by micro-macro effects and causes in more depth what do these command words actually mean and what should we ensure to include in our 25 markers along with the structure for evaluation and for policies is it just fiscal , monetary and policy, supply (micro) and tool kit in macro ? please let me know thank you !
Micro means focusing on areas such as the effects on individual consumers, families, businesses and households. Whereas macro is the big picture stuff about economic growth, inflation, unemployment trade. You need to build one micro point and one macro point in a 25 mark question. For policies - yes - monetary, fiscal, SSPs and also trade policies.
Geoff - why does a lot of exports require imports ? Can’t work it out. Surely it all can get balanced by financial / capital accounts?
Bangladesh exports textiles - but it imports cotton . Exports require imports!
@@tutor2u-official oh i see.... as FoPs.
last paper tomorrow out of all my a levels. Big thanks to Jim and Graham or I would've been lost in my business revision
Good luck from us all!
Was lucky enough to sit close to the front when seeing him live, he’s jokes irl as well 😂

Praying this ends on a high note! Thanks for all the help these past 2 years for me!
Thanks to both of you Jim and Graham for everything you’ve done. Been watching since GCSEs and you guys have been a huge help. Loved the livestreams.
You're very kind. Every best wish for your future - please let us know how you get on. [Jim]

Love you graham
