I work at a vet. Have had quite a few people that try all natural give up and come in for the *actual* medicine because the herbal stuff doesn't work.

Your cat did not get tumors from flea and tick meds. That isn’t something that happens. Now on rare occasions isoxazoline type meds can cause exacerbation of neurological disorders such as seizures and such, which is why they aren’t given to animals with a hist. of seizures. There isn’t a good way to prevent an allergic reaction, especially when they are so rare. Your can very well may have had a reaction to the medication however the masses are coincidental. It’s a terribly sad thing to loose someone you love, but spreading misinformation is not appropriate

Dogs are meat leaning omnivores. Wild wolves are also meat leaning omnivores and have been well documented choosing to eat a ton of blueberries when they are available in summer! They even bring em home for their pups. I am bringing up wolves because dogs are related to wolves btw.

My dogs are allergic to all the topical medications we have found, unfortunately. They break out in hives and skin sores 😅
I have a carolina dog who has an ectopic ureter. She also has a significant heart murmur so surgery was not an option. She used to get horrible UTIs and urine scalding. We tried every dog food and a prescription diet that often made the UTIs worse. We make our own food and my other dogs eat a higher protein diet and our Carolina dog eats a lower protein diet with eggs, turkey or fish. We also add small amounts of garlic and we haven't had a UTI in 4 years. They said she wouldn't live past 5 years and she turns 12 this year. Diet is medicine in so many instances.

There is a wide variety of preventatives available, please speak to a VETERINARY PROFESSIONAL if you have any questions or concerns about flea and tick prevention! Take good care of your pets, in whatever way you feel is right, but leave the other ways you disagree with alone.

Can you feed them any sardines at all or are there things to look out for in certain brands?
Avoid sardines with added salt, the ingredients should just be sardines and the liquid it’s in

That is a very good tip. I was thinking about how many shorts I see of people's dogs doing these and I was like I've never seen one that says hey try not to do this for a long time because it can lead to the water toxicity....way to go! ❤❤❤❤

Why does the milk have to be raw compared to pasteurized? Is it just because there are more nutrients in raw, or is pasteurized somehow unsafe?
Do I have to worry about salmonella with that raw eggs? Eggs aren't considered safe to eat raw where I am, even if people still do it sometimes.

Just a heads up- it’s a really bad idea to give your dogs chicken bones. They can get splinters of bone stuck in their throat, stomach, or intestines.
