Why did you fill it from the bottom? Full it from the top until it comes out that way you don't lose oil.. you don't fill oil from the bottom of your car do you? Then try to get the plug in real quick before it pours out?

  • @stephansmithoutdoors

Filling your gear lube (not oil like a car) from the bottom is the standard. As I explained it is to push out any air, as air rises to the top. Thanks for watching and commenting and wish you well if deciding to fill from the top instead 👍

I have a Bass Tracker 175 with 200 lb of batteries jammed in the back compartment and of course trackers piss poor setup has all the batteries on the same side of the boat. So of course it's it's uneven in the water. Specially because they're on the console side of the boat. I really wish I could go with a lithium cranking battery, but I spoke with Mercury and the specific motor that is on my boat being an older two-stroke they said don't do it. No unfortunately I do not have any. Sorry your having a hard time getting the carpet. When I delt with them the only obstacle was that they only "cut" the carpet once a week and had to be a minimum size requirement. Before I gave up I would encourage you to call again, but this time talk to someone more senior and see if you get a different answer. We're living in a time of perpetual turnover and if they can't find an immediate answer they respond with "It's been discontinued" "out of stock" or "let me look into it" and they never call back. Worth another try.. Good luck!
