Jase Drives South Australia
Jase Drives South Australia
Let Jase show you the places & things you didn't know you wanted to see. Who is Jase? Just an overweight Scania, WRX & 4x4 driver who loves South Australia.
Visit South Australia.
POV, timelapse, dashcam & Gopro. Scania R770 V8 & other models, B'Double & truck & dog tipper.
Come for a drive with Jase Drives South Australia.
As a truck driver in South Australia, I see some beautiful scenery and some questionable driving.
I visit some beautiful towns and want to share them with new and returning visitors.

Not entirely a road train, more a c triple. Scania will fall apart on real Australian outback roads.
@spanners94 Yeah I know. We've had 3 of them rattle apart in different ways on corrugations. Exploding shock absorbers is a favourite.
Go an X convenience SAND-wich...Stay away from the iced coffee lang
@user-xq7zi9jv8y I failed. 1x 600mm strong iced coffee was purchased.

Thats an old Beaumonts lusty stag or B-Double
@user-ky7se8ck9q Yeah, not entirely sure where we got our two sets from, but we haven't had them more than a couple of years.
Hi is this goower
@@benjamingore9627 Close...
Well that must have been a bit nerve racking on soft ground , loaded, step climbs
I was very nervous the first time wondering how I was supposed to cross the river. Even more nervous when I first saw the crossing, but it held very well. I'm still not sure why a temporary crossing was the only access for a truck.
Perth
Hmm. Close. Strathalbyn is only 2750km from Perth 😊
Don't know the name but I do know what beautiful is 😍
It is a beautiful little town. Strathalbyn in South Australia. About an hour southeast of Adelaide
Hope heaven looks like that 😀
Why ? Cus they in a little shade under that log?
I don't know. They always hide under plants and logs from the main light, but when the light is off, the party starts with any light that shines through them.
@@jasedrivessa i asked around. Apparently when light is shining from the sides of them through them, it heppens. Cool
if you have scania do proper euro style interior with pelmet and plush
I don't own the Scanias I drive so I can't
90% of it's abusive and offensive. The pigeon noises were a pleasant change. Almost.
Melbourne dikheds
Forty years in the industry an this shit is just what the industry has come to .I'm done .
Dude is bullbar still around?
Not sure, I was just a visitor in Melbourne. Never got to know all the talent on channel 40
Man that came up the hill like it was only half full. There’s no way that it even looked like it was 68.5 all up. Awesome
Reported
Reported? The driver of that magna is an idiot and should be reported. The video itself should be shared over and over as a warning to everybody that idiots like this exist. Thanks for your pointless input.
This video was removed from TikTok for violating community guidelines. (Dangerous activities and challenges) I am frustrated by this because I don't understand what I am doing dangerously. I'm not speeding or driving stupid in any way and my camera was strapped to my head. There is exhaust noise and that is it. I think the community guidelines over at Tiktok need some adjustments.
Long valley Rd is the new South Rd roadworks that never get done
The Kings SCANIA R770 V8 and VOLVO FH16 780 Aero

F*k me those are huge. Where was this spotted? Awesome video🚚👍
This video was taken a few years back when they were working on the wind farm at Pt Augusta. Totally forgot I had the footage.
Nothing there!!!!
If trukies did the right thing ,,would be no need for safety ramps.
I do not disagree. Pushing the boundaries and taking risks are usually the cause. You'd have to be extremely unlucky to need a safety ramp based on mechanical failure alone.
Thank you for not having music(noise) over the top of your video!!!👍
Thank you for the feedback. Appreciated.
That Barina is a perfect example of what we put up with on single lane highways. They cannot be behind the truck at all costs, they'll pass illegally only to slow back down to 85-90. Then as soon as the overtaking lane comes up they magically start doing 105, but only once you're right next to them coming towards the end of the overtaking lane.
Hats off to the truckies of this big wide nation and to good ol Slim. 🍻
Ya know, I've visited most of the Poland roads, and there is no single ramp like this. Good luck.
I would love to see Tesla semi do that for more than 10 mins..
Can I play in your sandy box
In a loaded B double, is 40km/h safe? I haven't gone down that hill yet, but I told myself if I ever do I would use the bottom box in 4 high range. So it might do about 25km/h or less.
Yeah, 25km/h sounds more reasonable. This video was taken in a Scania at 56.5 Tonnes. Scanias have unbelievable hill holding. With all the penalties that apply here, you are much better off being 1 gear too slow than 1 gear too high. The hill itself isn't that scary. The fines and consequences for getting it wrong are the scary bit.
@drivingsouthernaustralia perfect thank you for the advice. I always worried if I went too slow I'd force all the other trucks to overtake me and they can't use their brakes, but that's probably overthinking it.
@ESPSJ all good. Hope it helps. The no braking rule is a bit dumb because it makes people overthink.... Don't overthink the fines for things like braking. If you have a truck like mine doing 40km approaching your truck doing 25km and I can't safely change lanes to go around you. I'm braking. I do it often and it's completely safe because my brakes are cold and my braking is not excessive. The no braking rule is there to penalise those who want to run down the hill in the wrong gear to make up time, riding their brakes along the way only to realise that they can no longer stop in time for the red light at the bottom of the hill. It happens too often, so that's why these sometimes questionable laws apply. A bit of common sense and you'll get to the bottom of the hill wondering what all the fuss was about.
@@jasedrivessa That makes a lot of sense, thanks for clearing it up for me. It's funny that the authorities make pretty much zero attempts at educating people what the right thing to do is, most of their info about this hill and others just makes people overthink it, which usually leads to mistakes. When I did my MC license, it was so easy. In fact it was way too easy, which is concerning. No mention about downhill descents, among many other important things they don't teach.
Hi my 770 goes down here much faster thankyou👍👍
Thank you very much for reminding me. 😁
Can we see a full pov vid going down like the going up vid
I may have a full descent available. I will see if it is any good today. Not exactly the same POV view. I'm off work for a few weeks, but I will aim to record one on my return.
Nice work !
