I dont subscribe to the notion ( myth ) that you need 2000 to 2500 RPM to use carbide tooling, absolutey not true . Nice video all the same .

Can you print with 2 colors without the ams on the a1?

There are ways to manually 3D print with multiple colors. The approach is similar for other brands and single extruded printers. Search around on YT or on your preferred social media platform.

50 years ago, this kind of stuff were must have skills if you wanted to get a job. Now machining is essentially a rich mans hobby. Lots of people can't even afford the tools and don't even have the space.

I have used various CAD programs since 1985, about a dozen of them. I have made a really great living by doing so. I have always used some version of a Spacemouse, currently my own Enterprise version at work. I work so, So, SO much faster using a 3D mouse, it's not even close. About half of my current or past coworkers do not use a 3D mouse. I am positive if managers compared how much work I have done, with my non-3D mouse using associates, they would be shocked how much more work I do. I can CRANK on 3DX-CATIA, previously on NX, and before that CREO, as well as Blender, 3DS Max, etc. The KZreadr makes arguments for not using a 3D mouse. If you really want to perform well with any CAD program, the price for a 3D Mouse is nothing. It will be frustrating to use one at first but you should be comfortable with it after a day. Within a few days you'll wonder how you ever got around without one. If unsure about them, and you want to buy one to try out, just buy a used one on eBay. If you don't like it, resell it for the same price.

I have a kool mist single sprayer, the one that comes with the loc-line, and "use your own tank" mister. It has one adjustment knob for both air and coolant. I am on a non enclosed manual mill. The air to coolant ratio is potent, like feel dizzy potent. Add too much air, the coolant becomes thick, foggy, and potent. Add less air, and coolant doesn't have enough pressure to shoot out, and clear chips. There's no perfect adjustment. My coolant tank is a 5-gal. bucket and on the floor, the coolant line was about 4.5 feet to the spindle. I literally just moved the line siphon to higher than the adjustment block. Coolant comes out so much easier and the line in now about 2ft long. But too much coolant comes out, and even with a low amount of pressure like low enough to where you can point the nozzle at your face with no coolant obviously and not shoot your eyeball out of your head. Lol Is this a solid consistent mist? Say I use it outside of en enclosure. Will I pass out like I'm feeling with my set up? I've tried accu-lube and their blocks just suck and just don't work, also the that brand coolant had me passing out. What to do?

😂 inside bore gauges, i hate them haha 😂 youve just not used them enough, everyone noways can only use digital bower gauges lol.. The secret to those ones you hate is to fix one end down and woble the top till you get no movement i.e. its at its highest point, and heres the kicker all the whilst checking that tbe handle is square to the face. See easy 😂

love your videos man, but when you interview you don't have to say "mmm hmm yeah sure ok yup yes yeah" after every sentence. You interject yourself a bit too much when they're explaining their process and derailing the information. I get it though i'd be excited as hell too walking into the places you do.

BTW if you're using Blender + a gaming mouse or keyboard with macro function (basically every Razer and Logitech Product) you can just map a button to a macro for {f3}walk navigation{enter} for an easy game like wasd style of navigation. If your sculptin with a drawing tablet and prefer to use a standalone device for your macros you can get a used razer nostromo for cheap nowadays, which unlike their newer crap doesn't even require an account.

If this is a pure "navigation" device, then why not use it with You dominant hand? It is so useful for me. If You need to use multiple 3d space apps, You need to remember which combination of keys does what. Here You have one object that does everything, everywhere the same. Additional keys are not important. It needs getting used to, but You can rotate, move and scale at same time. For example - If You use Fusion 360 for private projects, need to use Solidworks for "work projects" and on free time You do 3d animation - this can simplify movement between every app :) I know this video is 8 Years old, but thats not an excuse if "You can do everything with mouse". You can do it easier with that device and switch to other programs without loosing focus :) Hope I helped someone :D Edit (few minutes after publish): Today there are lots of 3d projects that can be printed at fraction of cost, which can do simillar job. If You don't wanna spend 100$ for this and have a 3d printer (or a friend which has ;) ), then You can try simillar project for 20$ or so :)

My daughter, who is now a robotics engineer, started her journey way back in middle school. She took on some pretty ambitious projects though those years. The advice I always gave her back then was the old adage, how do you eat an elephant, some step at a time.

I was having a difficult time rotating the WCS so the X-axis was on the centerline of my cylindrical cut. I created a separate blank component, dragged the part to be machined into the component file, corrected the rotation with the move command. Once complete, I broke the link and saved the part. Note that the X-axis has to be correct in Design mode which is on the centerline of the part. The WCS rotation in mfg mode will not help you.
