Broadly speaking, anything post-Moon era Who for me is of almost no interest--albums, tours, general behavior. But this performance, at least, really capture the who at their snottiest. They're old punks here, but still vital old punks. There's no nostalgia, it's some old lions letting lose. Good stuff.

I love Kenny. It wouldn't have been the Faces or Small Faces without him. He had an impossible job filling in for Moon. So much of the Who's unique sound was because of Moon's chaotic non-linear bashing. Minus him they became an occasionally-pretty-good nostalgia act instantly.
