@jp2111usmc23 күн бұрын
@@AllAbout.DigitalHave a couple questions? Are you running Windows 11 or 10 pro? Would you want to use Linux? It’s along a long process to do it on Ubuntu. I use WSL and I have windows pro 11.
@AllAbout.Digital23 күн бұрын
Ohhh I see. I don't use WSL, as I prefer the full distribution feeling. I'll try to find a way to do it using virtualbox and Ubuntu. Thanks

Don't ever do the chmod 777. It's a completely unprotected file, anyone can do anything to that file, and run any command through that file. It's like creating a master password to all your accounts, than making it public to anyone who wants it. The command is. sudo chmod +x <file> I realize it's a test environment, just a really bad thing to do, or get in the habit of. Edit that said I am enjoying this. It's good to see someone learning. I never opened a book and studied myself, I am just a nerd. So this is a fun series for me.
@AllAbout.Digital27 күн бұрын
You're absolutely right! In this case, since I was doing testing on my machine, I didn't think twice about that. It is a bad example of what you can do to make a file executable. Thanks for showing support, I do really appreciate people like you coming by and helping out where you can. I'd be happy to see you in a stream some time!

I'm nitpicking, I know, but you not wearing a shirt is for no good reason very distracting. I'm listening but my brain is going "Does he not have AC? Does he have a patreon I can donate to so he can afford to not be sweltering?" These videos would be great for future employers to check and see that your knowledgeable, and well... being bare skinned is going to poison the situation.
@AllAbout.Digital28 күн бұрын
Hahaha, thanks for the comment! Yes, it was quite warm in my room that day, and I decided I could just do it without a shirt as I am in the comfort of my own room. You make a great point about potential employers' perspectives. I will take this into account for my future videos. Hope to see you in a stream some time soon!
@paulywalnutz585517 күн бұрын
I will go and say if an employer is considering not hiring this gentlemen based on weather he was wearing a shirt in a youtube video he did potentially years before even applying to said employer than thats not an employer worth being employed by
@AllAbout.Digital15 күн бұрын
I'd find it odd if an employer watched all of my videos anyways 😂. But yes, it seems as if an employer would have to be "out to get you" to nitpick something wrong with an individual.
