Een filmpje van alweer een paar jaar gelden maar niet minder inspirerend Hans! Vraagje: wat is je setup hier en met welk aasje vis je? Sportieve vliegvisgroet, Reinier.

Hey Reinier, 0.18 mm, hengellengte level leader. Spinder patroon of dungebonden natte vlieg. Die winden vonden spinnetjes uit het ondergelopen gras heerlijk.

Great Video! Looks like a fantastic trip... I have fished Iceland twice and love the country. How did you work out the remote river licensing?
@HookedonFlyfishing6 жыл бұрын
David Webster that can be a real challenge, David. Ask farmers.... But sometimes they are not in a radius of 15 km.

very nice little stream at min 8:30, I am going in a few weeks with family and rod, would you be able/willing to share a few tips? We're heading mostly north, north-west and westfjord. Thanks, L

Hi Leonard, the stream at 8:30 is in the very NorthEast of Iceland. It is called OlduA (if I write it correct). The man that can help you further on fishing there is Petur Magnusson from Arctic Angling. You will find Arctic Angling on the web for sure. It is indeed a very exiting little river with very nice fish, that you can sight nymph for. Have fun!

ah.. thanks, I don t know if I can steer the whole group east but if I do I'll make sure we check it out. However I ll ask Peter about the west. thanks again, L

the whole group..... these little mountainstreams cannot handle too many people at a time, I am afraid.... they are really small and ! Consider that in your plans, Leonard.

no sorry.. what I meant is that I m traveling with wife and 2 small kids, they like camping but I can't leave them more than 3-4 hours behind if I trek upstream. Fear not..

That can be perfectly organised right there. There is a campside in Rauferhofn. That is very close to OldenA. You can hop in the stream (with Petur) for half a day and then join the family again :) Cheers, Hans

what was the name of the place you got the chars ? awesome video !
@HookedonFlyfishing7 жыл бұрын
Hi Birkir, there is not a real name of that place. It was 9 hours with the bike from the nearest gravel road. It is not allowed to go there with motorized vehicles. So only by foot, horse or bike :) The same kinda char is being caught in Grimstunguheidi. Have a look on this webiste: charfishingiceland.com/ (Maybe your virusalert will warn you, but the site is 100% safe). The man that has the fishing rights there is Freyr Gudmundsson: [email protected] Enjoy!

DID YOU GO ON A BIKE ALL THE WAY UP THERE o.0
@HookedonFlyfishing7 жыл бұрын
Hi Birkir: I used the bus for the long stretches on the paved ringroad. From there I carried on with the bike: last piece of paved motorway - gravelroad - 4x4 track - horsetrail - wildernes. Big bike fun!!!
