The sid chip is a masterpiece of a sound chip but after a long learning curve on the Yamaha sound chip the ST generates beautiful chip sounds. Just search for atari maxYMiser and u will be impressed. 🤔

i played this when i was about 10 years old, the dialogue, the humor, the art... the game blew my mind. I think ill be nostalgically chasing that feeling that game gave me at that young age for the rest of my life.

Bouderdash is amazing! I wanted one game to compare on all the early 8-bit computers(Computers in this video plus: Tandy Color Computer, Sharp X-1, NEC PC-88, and Fujitsu FM-7) Boulderdash is the only game I could find on every one.

I was playing this game round my friends house late into the night, I was about 10 years old.. we started a 2 played game.. and something must have broken or crashed or.. to this day, I will never know. Perhaps we entered in a cheat without even knowing.. Every time one of died, we wouldn't lose a life and everything on screen exploded. So we managed to complete the game. I believe this game would be impossible to complete without cheats. There are 100 or more levels, just wave after wave of endless baddies to shoot. All of them really well animated and detailed. some of them hilarious.. On one level. the 6 bombs appear in the top left. The indication that your Atari had crashed. Just as I was reaching round the back to hit reset.. they started moving - they were the wave of baddies!

@@filip737 Yes and i agree with you... it was a weird lets make everything in 3D time. I guess it was for the new generation kids who got used to these art. My nephews were even watching the new style 3d cartoons like mickey mouse and didnt like the old style and were saying "where are the real ones"? :D
