Hello
Promo`SM
For making whipped cream is necessary to add steroid acid we can’t use only wax
Hi there! the stearic acid is optional. It's just helpful for making the wax more stiff.
How to order the material
Hello! We sell all of the supplies in this video on our website NorthWoodCandleSupply.com
I have a weird question. I painted some wax melts to look like firecracker popsicles - using the alcohol & mica together. It looks really cute, but it comes off easily, like glittery mica is everywhere inside the bags they're packed in, etc. & It doesn't look very good to me like that. It's there a way to fix that so it doesn't "shed" as much? This is my first time doing it this way, so I probably should have painted it inside the molds, then poured the wax into that, but I painted it on the wax melts themselves. Why tips on how to fix that? Or should I just sell them like that & just do it differently next time?
Hi! Mica can come off pretty easily when painted onto wax. I personally get better results painting it into the molds because it tends to stick/bond better with the wax. If you don't like the look, you could also try melting them down and starting over. Mica can also be mixed directly into the wax to help tint it. Mica tends to sink to the bottom of the mold which can be a cool effect depending on what you're going for. I hope this helps!
@@NorthWoodDistributing Well, the look itself is actually really nice - it's just that a lot of mica is falling off them & getting on the bags & whatnot & it just kind of looks - messy to have that on there. But the melts themselves look adorable lol.
Lovely video ! Thank you so much, just wanted to ask if it s safe to touch them once finished or if the mica will rub off (before washing) ?
Thanks for watching! The mica powder should stay on fine when they are handled, but it will slowly come off with washing. You can also use shrink wrap or cling film to keep them looking their best until they're used!
@@NorthWoodDistributing Thank you so much ! :)
Finally, a how to trim your wick video that actually tells you how to do it! Thank you! 🙏
Thank you for sharing. Im definitely going to give it a try ❤❤❤
What about the spout?
Sure u figured it out by now. Just add water with vinegar, heat for a couple of minutes and drain
fantastic tutorial...absolutely loved it
Hi what kind of smelter is this? :)
Hi! It's a presto pot that has been modified with a spout.
Great video
I use my stick blender and a decorating tip to pipe.
How many washings before the mica painting area dissolves? Is there a way it paint soaps with mica in the soap base then paint the design?
Hi Barbara! The mica paint tends to wash away after a few uses. You can paint mica into the mold before pouring the soap but it will have a similar effect. If you want to fill in portions of a design with different colors of soap we go over this method in our pumpkin soap video! kzread.infomYKM4BKvKS8
hello. what was the % of fragrance used? And will any pillar wax work or do you suggest one with the best hot throw?
Hi! I used 10% fragrance for this, but 8-9% would also work well. This is CB2 wax, which is a coconut-soy blend that has really great scent throw! We have this wax & all the supplies on our website :)
This is brilliant. I can't wait to try this method on my cold process soap. I hope it works 😊
Can we use water paint
Does the paint gets removed once you use the soap?
Yes, the painted mica tends to wear off after a few uses. It's mostly just for decorative purposes :)
very nice soap!
Thank you! 💖

So u had wax in the cup and u add what
Hi there! Here's a link to the full tutorial, which explains everything in detail :) madewithnorthwood.com/coffee-inspired-whipped-wax-candles/
Can I use only paraffin??
I have not tried this with just paraffin, so I can't say for sure if it would work. The coconut wax blend is a softer wax than paraffin which helped get the results in the video.
Can i use beeswax
You can definitely use beeswax to make the candles. I'm not sure how beeswax would work for making the whipped topping because beeswax is a hard wax, and the whipped topping works best with softer wax.
So pretty! Do plastic molds make it harder to unmold? Nice job
Hi Micah! Thank you! Plastic molds can be a little tricky to unmold. It's usually easier if you let the soap sit in the mold overnight before unmolding. The best method is to pull the mold away from one side of the soap to create an air pocket, and let the air get under the soap before trying to pop it out. Hope that helps!
@@NorthWoodDistributing Thank you!
Do i need to do this also for my new candle before lighting it?
Yes
Yup
So awesome gonna try these. Thank you so
What should be the measurements if I use beeswax, ghee, coconut oil, honey, vit e, mica??
Thanks 😊
Hello what wick do you use for this jar?
which wax u r using paraffin or soy
Thank you so much this helped a lot I was trying to fire this out
So glad to hear this helped you!
does this scent discolor the bombs, make them turn brown? Or does it not have vanillin?
What should be the ratio?
How long does the fragrance last?
Around 2 weeks or so. More scent can be added if it fades.
Hi I tried making piping but I wasn’t able to pipe as it got stiff in the bag 😢
Hi Meena, sorry to hear that! The wax can harden quickly after it is whipped, but you should be able to remelt it and try again. This post has more detailed instructions that might be helpful: madewithnorthwood.com/how-to-make-whipped-candle-wax/ I hope this helps!
Great video with visual step by step instructions. Thank you so much! Keep these videos coming for us Makers. 🙂
Thank you Karen! We have a lot more of these videos on the way 😀
Why have you added stearic acid .?
Hi Meena, the stearic acid helps stiffen the wax. It's optional, but I found that it helps.
Sa température de fusion est très grande donc il aide la bougie d être plus solide et ne détruit pas rapidement ( it doesn’t melt so quickly)
Wow...some fragrance oils have a glass point at 200°f. . So it's not to put that incorrect out
Why the stearic acid?
Hi Mercy, the stearic acid helps make the wax stiffer. You don't need to use it but I found that it helps.

Finally someone who showed this can be done within a blender! Thanks a lot
Yes! It takes a bit more work, but is definitely possible without a blender :)
Are you using soya wax ?
Hi! This is CB2 wax, which is a soy blend.
Wow this color is perfect! Do you ship mica powder to Norway?:)
Hi there! unfortunately we currently only have shipping to the U.S. and Canada. International customers are welcome to use parcel forwarding services though.
This is a nice tutorial, thank you!
I've heard that baking soda can make jars explode from the pressure. Can I leave the baking soda out? Or how would I go about making that, I don't want the jars exploding on anyone.
Hi there! You can certainly leave the baking soda out :) As far as we know this problem only happens if the bath salts are not completely dry before they are packaged. It's because baking soda gives off carbon dioxide as it dries, and if it is packaged in a sealed container too soon, the gas will have nowhere to go - this can potentially damage the jar. Hope this helps!
How to use this
Hi! These bath salts can simply be poured into the tub when you take a bath. If you prefer not to clean up the petals, you can pour the salts into a fabric bag and soak the bag in the tub (kind of like a tea bag). Hope this helps!
