All slant six Mopars have a charm that no other automobile can provide. The 4 doors even add to the charm. I'd wash this down with simple green twice and then apply vice grip shine juice. Enjoy your ride.

Dusters are great cars too! I have had one as well. I’ve also had a Dart, Scamp and a couple Valiants. The A-body’s are great! But man, the Coronet is a truly awesome car. The B-body’s are hard to beat. Thanks for checking out my channel. There are several videos of some of my A-body stuff too.

You did a fantastic job of driving in those conditions! You made good adjustments and timed your aggression very well. It's not easy to attack a wet, cold course. Nice driving! That's a cool venue; it looks like it would be awesome in dry weather. I'm sorry to hear that you're going to sell the Mustang. I was looking forward to seeing more events with that car. Thanks for showing people how much fun it can be to autocross a stock SN95 Mustang!

Thank you @warhorseracing for all of your help and for watching and critiquing my racing! I really have appreciated it and value your opinions greatly! The Cobra has been an excellent partner in autocross racing. I like the car a lot. I am a Chrysler guy at heart and have a desire to race my 67 Valiant next season. Not many vintage dodges out racing and I am looking forward to being one of them. I have nothing negative to say about the Cobra. It is an excellent autocross car and a car I will speak highly of moving forward.

I can see the excitement in your eyes and in your voice about the car. That alone is enough to make me like the vid. I too though love the A body Mopars. My first car was a '74 318 Duster. Went on to own a '72 Demon slant six, '72 Swinger 318, '73 Charger 400 SE, '73 340 Duster 4 speed and now I currently have a '73 340 Duster auto. Some just won't understand the love affair as we do, the roots took hold at a young age. Enjoy your car everyday.

I originally wanted to run in Solo with the $500 V6 Mustang I got, then someone wrecked me and now it's my daily. 😅 It's still stock though, so maybe I'll do it when I get the truck going. Closest track is probably close to 2 hours away.

When I was 3 years old through 8 years old, my aunt, uncle, and cousins from the Biloxi/Gulfport area of Mississippi had a 1967 Valiant "more door", bought new, as their family car. It was medium metallic blue, with bottle caps, one of the slant 6's, and 3 on the tree. I remember my uncle would frequently skip 2nd gear, and go directly from 1st to 3rd. Making a turn, he'd downshift to 2nd. They later traded it in for s brand new 1973 Gold Duster. It was dark brown with a lighter brown half vinyl roof. It also had a slant 6 (probably the 225) and TorqueFlite, no air conditioning or power steering (and again, they were in coastal Mississippi!). The Duster practically ran forever. The Dino's bark Mopar starter takes me back.

Nice, had a few Valiants back in the day, but being Australian, they (Chrysler Australia) ended up going there own way with styling, under the watchful eye of Detroit though. Locally made 1962-1981, engine plant online 1967 so plenty of aussie slants still around. Remember the torque of the slant on my grandfathers 1967 Valiant Station Wagon, would just lazily slug its way up dirt roads in top gear. Always remembered the illuminated rotating pentastar in the small country town I grew up in, but that went when Mitsubishi bought them out. Thanks for the post, from Perth, Australia, aussies dig it.

I dont mind a 4 door at all ! Most of the darts i have owned have been 4 doors with the 6 and an automatic. My 67 was the same colors as yours. I had one yellow 69 that was a 2 door 3 speed and my Mom had a green 4 door 72 with the 3 speed . I also had a 74 duster once with a stick on the floor from the factory. # on the tree is super easy to drive. I like the look of the hubcaps over the wheel covers.

I know I’m in the minority, but I think steel wheels and poverty caps are SO played out. Mopar guys put them on EVERYTHING. I just think they’re plain and boring. But hey, your ride, your call. If you dig em, that’s what matters

  • @Mclovingarage

Not sure steelies and dog dishes can ever be played out but they are used a lot. For me, it’s hard to beat the simple classic look and they look better than factory full wheel hubcaps in my opinion. Not to mention I had them on the shelf and it sure beats spending a ton of money on new wheels and tires of a different variety. I can appreciate your opinion, but I’m a steelies and dog dishes guy all day long. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

Was thinking who knows maybe one of those trucks I've seen will be something y'all want or know someone does,i found them trying to find a bumpside Ford truck to build a rat rod shop truck project out of and possibly trade my second gen dodge ram quad cab long bed magnum V8 46 RH automatic overdrive transmission manual shift transfer case lever on the floor 1500 4x4 yes it has rust around the edges and the wrong front doors and the front fenders are rusted out but i have some new parts like a complete engine gasket set and the intake manifold plenum gasket update kit and bolts new gates brand thermostat new in the box, and when i go to offer to trade my truck for their decent shape 67-72 $2500 usually truck i get the nope and the your truck and $4,500 and I'll trade got that response twice and one of those trucks didn't even have a motor and I'm like nope no way... And the other one was a half ton that needs floor pan patched and no bed and the 360 needs rebuilt nope my truck is not junk

Cool i myself have a 210k miles 2000 dodge ram laramie slt quad cab 1500 46rh 4x4 it differs from most it's not a short bed and it's a fairly lower trim option even though it is a laramie slt it does have some rust around the edges it was a northern Ohio truck since new i have the original owners manual truck still has the original truck bed on it and it is in really decent shape considering how most of them on the east parts of the usa look lol, it had rusted out front fenders and brake lines when I bought it and it had suffered from a instrument cluster stepper motor and electric components failure fixed by a shop so unfortunately the original title has a 77,240 and the addendum exceeds mechanical limits but it has a completely rebuilt front suspension and the factory transmission has a new front pump input shaft seal and torque converter so it shifts right into reverse and starts backing up, almost all of the lights work on the exterior only the right side reverse light does not, and the map light on the passenger side of the center overhead console works i just unhook them i originally bought a harness for the truck only to find out 98-00 non compass digital display readout is still 3 different harnesses and wouldn't you know it i have the wrong one..lol,it has a small section of the center of the factory dash up over the hvac and stereo that is broken away vent is still screwed up by the windshield and right directly above the stereo is cracked but most of the internal structures is still intact hvac cluster and stereo are firmly bolted to the dash but it already has a dash skinz dash cap and cluster bezel already installed in the truck and the interior has a few tears on the Dr side edge of the center console lid and the dr side edge of the seat but it is in really decent shape otherwise I gave $1,500 for the truck and it is a 318 magnum V8 not a 360 and the factory transmission is a 46rh not a re?!
