I loved training with MidwestPPG! The weeks i spent there are some of the best ever!
Dave and his crew are the best! I can’t recommend them enough.
swaggy
Nice.
Hi Alexis, thanks for a good and informative video. I have a question: I will be traveling for approximately 28 hours and will take my glider with me. Would it be ok to vacuum pack it to save space in my luggage?
You shouldn't have any issue with it being packed away for that amount of time. You don't want to pack it away tight like that for weeks/months on end but for travel trips you should be okay!
That was very informative and helpful. Thanks for the video!
Thanks Alexis, that was some great info !
Okay I’m from Michigan and now I need to find out where you guys fly and have your business. I love to see the sport alive and well
Great educational material!
I recently received my glider back after having Alexis inspect it, and I'm very happy with the results. Thanks Alexis!
Learned allot thank you Alexis.
Curious- How much more thrust does it have compared to MiniMot?
It does offer more thrust than the MiniMot especially with the 100cm prop vs the 88cm prop on the MiniMot. We do not have comparable numbers however.
Retirement is getting to do things you love to do. One Up Adventures seems like one way to go. Happy paramotoring and happy retirement! Hope to see more flight sharing in the future . . .
Hell ya! Those guys at Nashville Paramotor are amazing!
Price please us dollar..!
Nice interview!
This is the answer
I've often thought, if insurance companies really cared about life and health with free jabs and unbelievable OSHA requirements in the name of safety, why don't they make ballistic recovery parachutes affordable for everyone and include them on everything...
@@chrisgoetz3889 We also need fire suppression systems too
Mama mia
I’m in the first part of the video with Kyle!, great memories and even better training
Proton vs MiniMot? MiniMot still wins weight, size, electric start, swing arm and paraglider pilot fly feeling category - would like to know more for smaller pilots.
For a smaller pilot it really depends on your weight. I would suggest the proton as you have a bullet proof engine with easily serviceable parts and readily available. They are both good but for me the Proton is +1 for sure.
@@Kyle.Mooney That’s interesting, thanks so much Kyle. What info can you say about the power performance side of things in comparison with the prop size? The Atom 80 cc the MiniMot 170cc with the smaller prop sizes. On MiniMot 165lbs (75kg) all up weight The following are averages because weather conditions play a roll in varying performance. I can get off in 3 - 4 steps at 1000ft in 4min @ 4900-5200 RPM not full throttle. Flights to 2000-3000ft the following is for the most part not cruise but gaining height. I like to hold it at an Average temperature 343°f (173°c) Min 320°F (160°c) @ 4900RPM Max 356°c (180°c) @ 5200 - 5400 (not full throttle.) Getting a bit technical I know but it would be very helpful to get any comparisons. 🤗
✌
Empty weight?
41 lbs sir
Nice
Thanks for sharing, Paramotor is my Therapy.
Привет из Шадринска ❤
😎
Well that's awesome.
HOW FAST IS FAST? COMPARED TO LETS SAY A DUDEK HADRON 3 .
It will all depend on your weight and wing size. Size for Size, they will be close with the Luna3 being slightly faster based on spec sheets.
Another One Up vid saves the day!
🎆 👏 👏 noice
such a blast!
Thanks for sharing this video and information.
BGD are owning the toggle upgrades. These are really well thought out.
I live in Spain. How much would this ppg cost me including shipping?
Super sunglasses😊
I'm looking forward to testing out one of these sometime soon. Sounds like a fun wing
Shoot us an email and we can get you on the list for a demo :)
Killing the game...
OUA leading the way 👏 👏
Luna3 is not a wing I would choose for big XC. It wouldn't be a horrible pick, but it felt much more like a very advanced all-rounder to me. And, if I'm gonna fly an advanced wing on a long XC, there are more specialized options. Sure it's fast, but that's not high on my list when I am flying for hundreds of miles. I would pick something less sporty.
Do you have experience with other options? I am try to find my perfekt XC wing and think about the Dudek Hadron 3, Niviuk Kougar 3, Ozone Sirocco 3. Wings Like the Warp or the ViperXC are a step to high. I am searching for effiency in the first place and i don't need a agile wing.
@@Ethriean how many hours do you have and have you taken an SIV?
I have 3 years experience in XC flights and in 2023 i flew ~70 hours. I had my SIV training after my check flights. I am from Germany and we must make a license to fly paramotor. ☺️
@@Ethriean viperXC. It's a very easy wing to fly. Fantastic for big XC.
You are not the first person with this advice, but i fly a Dudek Universal 1.1 since my first launch and the step to the viperxc is gigantic. My Problem ist: I cannot test ozone wings, but i can test Dudek, niviuk and itv Wings in july.
I was there!! Dude's funny as anything!! 😂🤣😂🤣
This or the cosmos 300? What's been more reliable over time?
Hey Jesse, We have seen the Cosmos to be SUPER reliable! One customer has 380+ hours close to 400 hours on his first cosmos 300 and is working close to 100 hours on his second with no issues still. He has a plan to purchase a 3rd this fall. The Cosmos is what we use in the school as well and have just been so very happy with it!
@oneupadventures5040 Thanks, super glad to hear this! Flying the trike with smaller wings is putting a lot of wear and tear on a moster and I'd like to have more power for sure. Looks like I'll be selling one of mine to go towards a cosmos.
What brand of 2T oil did u use?
We want to see this baby in action with a fast small wing 🌪️💨

I had the same idea until i got pulled over by the police , for the wheels blocking my taillights

I'd love to know how the thrust of the 3 blade 100 cm prop compares to a 125 cm 2 blade on the Atom. I'm sure it's less, but can you give a ballpark?
I would venture a guess at about 25%.
Me !
Now you’re talking. I want that.
I want to like the message but imagine you're talking about an electrician from the power company. He knows what he's doing, he has the tools, but to Joe Shmoe it looks like he's going to get himself electrocuted. Under your interpretation, he can't do work because an ignorant person frets? Yeah, don't fly over houses at dawn, don't be a hazard. But the rest of this stuff about catering to the most ignorant person with eyes... no thanks.
Hazardous operations are in the eyes of the beholder. With that said, I am not going to stop doing acro because "it looks scary". There are many times where pilots should use better judgement so paramotoring isnt annoying and looking bad in the public eye.
Im not seeing too many videos of EFI. is it still working correctly?
Still working! We brought it the the recent Georgia Bad Apples Fly-In in Georgia and demo'd the unit to pilots there, responses were very positive!
