Beautiful! You are the man!!
Ohhh, that does sound good!
Runs pretty good for 185hp
Why no heal & toe downshifting?
Love the intro and the outdoor format!
That was a seriously great intro! 👏👏
Where did you download this mod?
sounds like devil Z change my mind
G29 still superior
Comparing this to Gran Turismo 7 you notice the devs even got the tree shapes right
Gave me a semi.🤭
Game name
My Bad was about to ask what Game this is After wenig the thumbnail😂
You’re living the dream brother 🫡
what an ass kicking demonstration on the straight by the GT-40 and AC COBRA 427's
People mention how they thought this was a game (me included). But I'll tell you what games don't get. The shifting. Yeah, games simulate the clutch and rotating mass, and some even simulate the synchro. But no game ever gives you the feeling of shifting an old ornery transmission. The way it'll fight you when you don't give it time to synchronize, and when your RPMs are too far off the wheel speed sometimes it just refuses to go into gear without a fight. Like when you were downshifting into the chicanes. You have to juggle the rpm by blipping the throttle until the transmission and the output shaft come to an agreement. As a wise man once said, "the transmission is a bureaucracy, sometimes you have to gerrymander to get use of the gears".
This is NEXT-LEVEL amazing.... just imagine driving this... TOO GOOD! thanks for posting!
Epic racing in real life video ❤️
The signature on the dashboard says it all.
This is GT Legends in real life! AMAZING!
Me thinking it's assetto corsa then watch the video "oh"
Is this a game? Or a simulation?
It’s actually real life! Just that the camera has a low fps rating, that’s why it doesn’t pick um people’s movements.
Such an amazing experience. You are blessed!
I love how real life looks WAY more chill than Assetto Corsa/GT/IRacing VR videos. What a beautiful circuit!
I want the blue 911 that went past. The Mustang does sound good, but I love the sound of the flat six boxer engine.
Incredible they were able to capture this kind of video quality in 1965!
Lmao
iPhone 12 in 1965, Lmao
its a 1965 Porsche XD
It's so colorful there! The curbing, the sky, the stands... what a cool place. Your car was excellent, and it was fun to watch you wheel that thing around. Keep driving it hard--don't let it off easy just because it's getting older!
Game name?
This sound is hipnotic❤
Thought this was SimRacing when i‘ve seen the thumbnail😂 This is absolutely fantastic
Is the camera mounted on the chin of the helmet? Or is is on the side? Great angle
On the side :) Thanks!
@@godsavethewheelsDo you mind telling me what helmet and camera you were using? Maybe even the mount too? I’ll be doing some track days next month and would love similar looking footage if possible
Sure - Helmet - na.stand21.com/products.r-2/helmets.r-7/ivos-hi-tech-open-face-double-duty.f-596.html I like open face helmet when racing in enclosed cars; otherwise I run too hot haha Camera - GoPro Hero 10 shot in 4K 60fps with Horizon Leveling mode; I have not tried without horizon leveling but it may look nice too. Mount - something like this gopro.com/en/us/shop/mounts-accessories/grab-bag/AGBAG-002.html - this way you can angle the camera as you want to have a good view. Finally, we had mounted a cigaret lighter usb-c cable charger so the gopro could be plugged in, otherwise the battery gets drained very quickly. If you race/track day with a full face helmet, there are great chin mounts available that would definitely do the trick too!
@@godsavethewheelsYou’re a legend for this. Thanks a lot
Amazing video. Looks like a dump truck with the amount of understeer lol
It does haha! Cold tires, plus a bad start of the race brought couple of driving errors too I must concede.
@@godsavethewheelsYou left a good margin for error. It’s almost a 60 year old car, no one would blame you for taking it a little easy
Other than the car itself which I obviously wanted to preserve it is also a lot about the cars around and their values that can be close to 10x that 911...!
@@godsavethewheelsYes absolutely. I’d imagine that part is a little stressful but it looks like a ton of fun. I’ve driven a 993 a few times before. Not to sound critical at all, because I’m aware that the floor hinged pedals can be a little tricky. Were you having trouble downshifting smoothly?
Not so much trouble, but - these older Porsche/VW gearbox are not the easiest to deal with (imo) and the car kind of needs to stay high in RPMs, so downshifts may sound loud. Also, I must concede I am more comfortable with 4-speed high-hp cars (like the Mustang or Cobra in my other videos), rather than Porsche!
If you happen to be the owner of a PS5, GT7 and a PSVR2 device. You can replicate this cruise within the game. For some of us mortals... Thats enough.
My set up is a PC, HP Reverb 2 and iRacing - it is not the same as actual racing like this, but it is still amazing!
@@godsavethewheels Nothing is like the real thing...
@@godsavethewheels The thing with GT7 and PSVR2 is the lenses and color and light quality. They achieved almost Photoreal rendering inside that game in VR. Thats why I mentioned It.
This cool, this really cool
Thank you :)
Wow.
Nothing more lonely than to be on a track with nobody to race with.
OMG I thought the thumbnail was a VIDEO GAME!! lol Fantastic sounds!!!
Same.. It totally looks like a game
Makes you think about how amazing games look these days!
Same! I looked at the thumbnail and thought "nah it looks too perfect to be real" and checked the title expecting to see "Assetto Corsa." Then wondered if it was a new sim called "Le Mans Classic" or "911 2.0" lol. When I started thinking "they did a hell of a job with the animation of putting gloves on..." it finally hit me.. and in that instant, the next hour of my life had been decided. This is peak youtube, peak vintage racing footage, and has that exceedingly rare quality of making you completely forget about all the things you can't stand about youtube. For that 55min, the light is back in the internet's eyes-gradually, you feel almost a sense deja vu, a comforting familiarity. Then it sinks in: it's the circa-2006 internet-open frontier, full of promise, an exciting treasure trove for any niche passion you have-the existential privacy and safety threats are still years off from souring the experience. For this 55min, the battleground turns back into the playground you remember. Smile and enjoy it.
NFS Porsche vibes
And GT Legends, specially!
Seeing this video reminds me of my dad's old Peugeot 505 break that I learned how to drive in. It had done over 300k kms and was still going strong. He also had a 504 break with 402k kms. I miss the days when companies made quality cars that could last for years. Electric cars will barely last, they will depreciate very badly and are not as environmentally friendly as most people assume.
Can only agree with you... Love that your dad was a Peugeot guy (I am French obviously...), and a break enthusiast! Although back then, breaks were the family cars, then replaced by the vans and SUVs :( Thanks for sharing !
Miss my 930 so much if I only knew right
The market will evolve...! You may have occasions to get another one at some point :)
Man, this is too cool to be true. The flat six noise is orgasmic.
guys got the garden gloves on
These gloves are super versatile 🤣
Thank you. I shall now go out to my garage and kiss my 911 !!!
If u have buttered sausage, u could kisss it on the lippssss
The amount of sickness after half an hour spent in there
Was not great the very very first times but honestly it’s all good now ! I even have my French bulldog farting not so far and I’m still ok 🤣
Stunning clarity. Beautiful vid.
Wow.. graphics are getting really good. Looks real....
Even if it wasn't hard core racing, it still looked like a ton of fun. God bless 🙏
My god that sound!
5800-6000 reminds me a lot of a b series honda . This is a fantastic video overall
Paul Newman had a manual Volvo wagon like yours to drive around town in Connecticut. Except he put a LS-1 Corvette engine in his for fun.😮
Hahaha that must be wild !!! But I was not aware of that, thanks for sharing 😊
