  I think both can be fine if your hair is healthy! Now that all of my color is gone, I find that it’s easy to do it myself. ☺️ But if the hair is damaged, layered, or chemically processed-then it might be easier for a professional to trim it!

  If you sit under a soft bonnet blow dryer it would take an hour or less to dry. I love my soft bonnet blow dryer. I'm able to lay down in bed while my hair is drying. I feel a soft bonnet dryer dries hair faster since the heat is contained inside the soft bonnet cap.

  Weird tip: I buy an inexpensive box of surgical gloves (the purple kind) and use those for my wash day. They cut down on friction and snagging in my hair, making finger detangling SO much easier! I have much less shed hair when using these. Actually, it’s not shed hair, it’s hair that gets PULLED out from hang nails or just natural friction from skin-to-hair contact. You’d be surprised what a difference it makes and a box of gloves lasts about a year!

  Pro Tip: I use conditioner (any kind, go cheap!) on DRY hair as my pre-poo! It’s better than any other pre-poo routine, especially if you’re like me and things like coconut oil just do not work. Conditioner-wash-condish again…YUP!

  For me it was in between. Usually I have a lot more texture and volume when I blow-dry my hair!! So the Airstrait made it more stretched than a blowdry for sure… but not like a silk press. All though, the Airstrait does have “boost” which is a higher setting (than the one I used for this tutorial). I didn’t use boost since I was only doing a braidout and didn’t need it.

  @@JewelliannaI use the same smother with eco gel. My curls come out just like your accept your hair is quite a bit thicker than mine. When the cast breaks I get some lovely volume and this lasts a week.
