Hey! now for someone that doesn't have a tilting trailer, could i use this hitch to make my trailer angle less for loading? kinda like a "tilt-a-hitch"? hook the trailer up, jack the trailer up with the rhino hitch not pinned, pin it at a higher then needed height for loading and then lower the jack down and put pin back after loading?

I think the Frontier is one of the best Midsize trucks out right now. Tacoma is too pricey, Chevy has some reliability issues, and Ford might be comparable with the Frontier but it just got redesigned so who knows how it will do.

Never considered a nissan before this generation. I am about due for a midsize truck and have looked at the frontier several times. The low payload is a bummer but the main thing that stops me is the old infotainment and cameras. I do like that is a slightly smaller truck compared to the others (but with more capability than a maverick). I heard there is a possibility of a refresh so I am holding off to see if 2025 frontier models bring anything new. Otherwise 2.7 ranger is probably going to take the win for me. Love the looks of the GM twins so they are not completely out of the running.

I own a 2019 PRO4X King Cab. The stock Hankook tires are not load rated - mine lasted about 20k pulling a 2,200lb trailer with a 300lb tongue weight. I upgraded with General Gatter AT tires. In addition, an Old Man Emu Suspension lifted the back of the truck 1" higher then the front; allowing it to set level when towing. The 4600 shocks that come standard on the PRO4X are much lighter them the OME units I replaced them with. They will last a lot longer when towing

Mr. Truck a long time fan of yours from your TFL work. This is a great video. But i wonder how the RAS compares to a full contact helper spring like the Hellwig product where you have two points of contact instead of one on the RAS? Bump stops dont excite me as the impact is localized on the axle tube. Seems like more springs and a hellwig sway bar are the best way to hamdle load safely

Actually, Newton's second law is the conversation of momentum. The sum of forces is equal to the change in momentum over time. However, when mass is constant, it (Newton's 2nd Law) can be reduced to (sum of forces) = m (dm/dt) = ma. Sorry, I'm an aerospace engineer and was geeking out for a bit. The over simplification of Newton's 2nd Law is a bit of a pet peeve of mine. I got a haul gauge the other day, for use with my new 3/4 ton Chevy. I like it so far. I was a bit disappointed that the new '24 Chevy 2500 High Countrys are not in the Haul Gauge's database, and I had to calibrate it (the Haul Gauge) myself. It does seem to match up pretty closely with the weight of my empty truck and truck-and-trailer, from Cat Scale measurements. I like that the Haul Gauge can give you tongue weight, and you don't have to try to figure it out from the Cat Scale readings for the three axles (truck drive and steering, and trailer axle(s)). When you said that you had to do the acceleration test multiple times previously, when you were checking the truck weight, I believe that you were remembering the Calibration Test. In the Calibration process, you have to do low-accel, mid-accel, max-accel, a few times each. Then, once it's calibrated, you only have to do one mid-accel run to determine the weight of your truck.

I have been reading the reviews on this product and while most I’ve found were positive, some were a little negative. Based on Mr Truck’s review, I will purchase one here in Canada. I don’t know the man but having watched him on this site and the TFL site, my instincts tell me he is legit and would not promote or sell a substandard product.

These look like the most straight forward and no drilling kit I’ve come across so far and I want to install them on my 2019 Coachmen Apex Nano, which has a dual axle. I’m not 100% sure whether I need to go with the 3000-5000 GAWR, or the 5000-8000 GAWR spring over axle configuration. Any guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated!
