    0:00 💰 Gold sovereigns offer unique advantages as an investment, including being capital gains tax exempt in the UK. 1:20 🌍 Gold sovereigns have historical significance and are highly sought after by collectors worldwide. 2:42 🕰 Vintage gold sovereigns, even those over 100 years old, can be purchased with relatively low premiums over their metal value. 3:35 💡 Investing in gold sovereigns can potentially yield considerable premiums in the future, making them a compelling investment choice.

    Yes because I can go metal detecting and find one close to home that I then can sell, but to find a gold nugget I need to travel a few hours to get to a spot to find one and when I do, I cant sell it without paying for miners rights and a claim title from the government. Oh wait, you mean buy them? Why would you do that when they are in the ground waiting to be dug up?

    I’ve heard Is release don’t want them. If you ever had to sell, the online dealers will give you decent money for them. Such as they are selling for $565 and online dealers are giving $535. I wouldn’t say that’s much worse than buying a 1/4 oz gold eagle for $645 selling it for $588 🤷🏻‍♂️ A lot of peoples problem is they don’t shop around. Buy from the cheap dealers and sell to the high ones 👍

    Very nice coin. However not worth as much as £40 pounds. They are rare, and anybody who pays this sort of money want their brains examined. £25 to £30 thousand more like the real price.

    Sovs are the best gold coin to invest in hands down. Every other "coin" is just a bar in coin form.. theyre gimmicks. Sovereigns have real novelty. Personally though, i would prefer small cast bars for gold that is easy to handle as im not british. Does anyone know of the 5g and 10g minted bars are ok to handle without capsules?

    Where else could you transfer the value of your earnings? (Without being consumed) However slabbing a coin sort of 'locks' up its liquidity. You miught just as well get cheaper sovereigns (loose proof or bullion grade) for their gold content. I have a date run from 1860 - 1932, all very nice condition, none of them slabbed and my loose proof are all missing dates and duplicates from 1973 onwards, again all very nice 'specimen'. Also its worth mentioning the troy oz and fractional britannias, a bit more expensive for being 24ct, but an excellent substitute if you dont like the modern coppery post 2000 alloy. When you put gold coins into simple 2 × 2 slips (black ones look even better) and have them set 20 to an A4 page, having graded/slabbed coins seems daft in my opinion.

    You can get a Sov graded MS62 for $850AUD while melt value is $771 AUD, so your really paying $29 for history & $50 for grading. When you swap your paper money back you'll probably get more.

    In 2005 Chard offered me £50 for a 1989 gold sovereign 500th anniversary capsulated in original presentation case and told me why he should'nt even be bothered over something of such low interest that worth no more than scrap. Within a couple of years prices shot up. Just shows how much he knows.

    I agree with you regarding the auctions, but the big problem is authentication and appraisal of a coin that has a higher value. With a wide range of Confusion of London coin companies all having the same name like London coin companies as there are many of them in London? Proof the fact that many people have been killed with the virus.

  • @seye8eyes

    Realities, many of the coin dealers cannot authenticate and appraise a coin. Because of their dishonesty as they live in London, which is not a city but an International criminal organisation. A lot of them claim to be collectors of coins and stamps. Yet they have no knowledge or transferency laws.

    Auction houses charge a fee ?

  • @philippayne4951
    @philippayne49513 ай бұрын

    They always have. It's now become a big con, and collectors are being fleeced. You get people like numistacker who is an agent for NGC and PCG, who get nice fees for this, and yet he cannot tell a cleaned coin, from one that is not. This slabbing has become a big con for collectors, they have slabbed fakes, thinking they were genuine, over graded some, some people removing the coin from the slab, re- sending it back, and getting a higher grade. So seller gets double the money for coin. Its now a big racket, and a con.
