Incarnate

This channel is a hodgepodge of projects that helped teach me filmmaking fundamentals, rebuild my conversational/presentation disciplines, or apply some basic editing to works that inspire me. I'm preparing to hone in on a vision soon, but right now it's all about whimsy. Hopefully you'll find something to inspire, entertain, or just pass a few superbly dull moments.

    Am watching before work. The start of the video was rough on a lot of our friends….I had a similar experience that day so clearly we were all being stitched up he same time. Yes, Ebonheart oracle is a lovely card, especially in premium…I always think she looks very serene. One of the reasons I like TESL is the card art is rich and vivid, not insipid or cartoonish.

    😆 It is indeed a classic, and the video was pretty darned cool. --You got me curious about Keine Lust (hadn't heard it before) and I actually looked up the song to see what it was about. Apparently, fatness was just supposed to represent excess: "You know, after all of these years we're full-up! Fame, success, money. We don't want to do anything anymore! Nothing! That's the idea in the song. We've returned to the starting point again. We just want to make music again." --I mean, that's just what they said about it. But I'm with you. I think they saw "Fat" and were like, "That's it--that's the look!" XD

Speaking of which, the "apple" often cited in the Bible as the fall of Adam and Eve is a mistranslation; the Hebrew actually says: "And lo, the serpent convinced Eve to put pineAPPLE on pizza, and God turned away from humanity, for he saw there was no good in man."

But here is something not many people know… The manna with which God fed the Israelites with in the wilderness is-as you articulated in your argument-a mistranslation. Translated from the original Hebrew, it translates to pineapple pizza. The reason God forbade them to store it throughout the week, is because fresh pineapple pizza is always best, and secondly, it’s a sin to not finish the pizza you’re given. 7:00 Wrothgar Forge is my poop stone. Its RNG is insane, you can bet it'll give you a lethal weapon when needed, damage dealing one like the mage staff when needed, healing, etc. For example in that first game Edmourn hit every almost perfect weapon for the situation except for that fork on the mudcrab merchant. It's a support that pays itself off in several turns and there's not too many bad weapons you can get from it since it doesn't produce daggers. In arena it can be game breaking cause the chances for you to get support destruction are rather small. And even if you get a removal in the form of a giant or something like that, that card becomes a weight stuck to your hand and never gets played for the fear the opponent might be playing some kind of a support like the forge.

  • @schwaaard
    @schwaaard13 күн бұрын

    Ah, you speak as one who has felt the pain of that card many times! Your comparison to Poop Stone is apt, and I can see how it'd easily become a loathed support. I'd say the only way it's not as bad as Poop Stone is that it only gives the first card you play the weapon. Other than that, just as bad, if not worse. And it's true that the right weapon for the situation showed up; ya don't need a Dawnbreaker or Heirloom Greatsword when a Crossbow gets the job done. And the bummer is, as Edmourn seemed to indicate, it's not the best feeling when the support more/less summons the win. Getting value from it is one thing, but having it run roughshod over the opposition is often a hollow experience. I guess (fortunately) I haven't been hosed by it enough to have developed a loathing--due in no small part to its cost. At 4, Poop Stone shows up an awful lot, but thankfully a 7-cost support is much harder to work into the late game.

    Yeah man, that was CRAZY intuition, both for the comment and the deck recognition! Almost gave me the shivers! But also demonstrates why you're so darn good at TESL and most likely other games like this. To me, decks are a bunch of cards, and most times I'd be hard-put to see the strategy or synergy in something someone else was running. --Not that this deck had either of those, but the fact that you can recognize it after just a few plays reveals a very keen mind. You mask it really well with the casual, "Heart of the cards!" but there's a big brain and insight operating behind the scenes! And yeah, your comment was perfectly placed. I'm glad we were able to catch that on a video for posterity. The irony was *chef's kiss* magnificent! Although, to be fair, I think anyone would be pushed to the verge of ranting playing against Giant Bat Shout Scout! ;) And hey--keep using that intuition. @@schwaaard Appear weak when you are strong and appear strong when you are weak. I won that tournament last year and I've got the second champions bracket coming up this weekend. I'm certain there can't be even one player who thinks I'm good at this game given the complete crap I brought last year :P I have TESL "split personalities" LOL play me on ladder, you might be like "ok this guy is greedy af and bad" but then these same players queue into me in the event and it's like a whole different person is their opponent HAHA So I will continue with my heart of the cards I get lucky drivel for now, let my opponents think that I am weak :)

    @@Mydogatemycomment Nice! Good luck in the tournament, amigo! Not like ya need it. The only one who has ever totally dominated you in a tournament was yours truly, and I gracious stepped aside this time around. ;p You're gonna have a hard time convincing anyone you're weak, but it's worth a try. Only a fool would underestimate The Toker! :D

    dude you complain a lot and lack so much patience...i mean i enjoy watching the game but i have to mute at times because of your negativity.

    Thanks for watching, and I appreciate the feedback! Alas, that's kind of a defining factor in my experience with this game. The frustration and angst resonates with some folks, but I absolutely understand why it would be irksome to others. I recommend you check out Dareloth if you want high-level TESL play without the negativity. He's got some really great content here on YT. Vinchenzo2k1n and Becoming Brave Cariad also have channels, and though they can get mildly salty at times, it's nothing compared to the negativity you'll experience with a good chunk of my videos. Some days/videos are better than others, but this game is often a test of my perseverance; it was a 'win' for me just to keep playing. While it is a triumph for me in that way...I know it ain't pretty. ;)

    My favorite deck is steal deck. Giving opponent taste of his own medicine... especially when i go against midnight burial or ayleids.

    People always talk about South Park predicting the future, but everyone forgets that the Hot Shots movies predicted real life 40 years before it happened.

    Ah! All the singleton-specific cards like Siege, Morokai (sp?) and Set's Masterwork were not allowed. :(

    Always horrible when you have a session where the game repeatedly stitches you up. Some days are just like that. The Bend will action could be limited to creatures hit power a bit like Mechinars will.
