PH-23/25 was one of 12 that protected Philadelphia. I have personally been to PH-91 (Worcester, Pa.) and PH-07 (Richboro, Pa.)

My deceased friend Skip Lennon I believe was stationed there as a SP4. What Battery was there in 1973-1974? And was it from the 2nd or 3rd Battalion, 43rd Air Defense Artillery?

I wasn't able to obtain any rosters. His name is not mentioned on ed-thelen.org, one of the most authoritative sites. In the years you mention, the base was run by the Guard, with several regular Army officers present for Nuke control. The closest description I could find was that PH 25 was under "A/1/254th" from 6/71 to 7/74. By then, the base was controlled from the New York City defense command structure, no longer Philadelphia.

It was actually the army corps of engineers that did this under directions from the federal govt. sometimes, leaving people alone might be a good idea.

This kind of creepy, crooked scam is happening again, right now, to the formerly-lovely Watergate Park next to Old Mine Road.
