Welcome to the Breckland Land Rover Club KZread Channel. It's not just for club members, it's aimed at everybody/anybody...
Before reading on etc.,... PLEASE hit the subscribe button...
Breckland Land Rover Club (BLRC) was formed in 1971 by a small group of all things Land Rover enthusiasts, and has since grown to be a major grouping of owners, drivers, interested parties and even unwilling partners.
BLRC members cover the age range of teenagers to retired people and come from all walks of life. The club has a full calendar of events held mainly in Norfolk and Suffolk and the main aim of this KZread Channel is to make videos of BLRC and associated interesting events available to all.
Over time we aim to cover all things from trials, events, maintenance, repairs, maybe even buying guides, and for all things Land Rover from Series through Defender and Discovery, to Range Rover and beyond... Tell us what you'd like to see, and we'll try to oblige.

Very nice 👌
They sound sweet as
Most of them do..., some of the time! 😁
Hmmmm I can add comments, owned Four.( AKA, i Qualify to do so.) So, the list. hot dip galv- chassis comes to mind. Seals- the world needs them. Synchromesh should actually- Be a thing Thrust bearings should provide- mmmmmm? Axels, well you know....... Drain holes, well you know............... Gearbox gates are supposed to be .. included.🤷♂🤷♂ Horse is expected- normally😁😁
See you don’t need to have piles of MUD to really enjoy your self . THANKS
You are very correct in that statement. In fact, while most of these cars are not an everyday ride in the true sense of the word, they are regular 'road' drives, and most sit on a driveway. Caking them in mud just makes for hard work after the event, and to be honest, who wants to spend half of an RTV on recovery... Yes, it happens, but we aim to minimise the times folk get stuck, and leave the worst of the mud and water to the CCVT guys. There are some videos from this site when wet on the channel, and the CCVT is really (really...) wet... Enjoy.
I'm pretty sure that the 80" V8 with the number 1 on it I used to own a number of years ago
Love the passion
you kinda look like sammy hagar.............
Great video! 👍👍
Thank you.👍
Sorry but I had to stop watching because of the repeated bits which are annoying.
Chris' 9 is the only repeat you'll find in this set I believe. But by way of explanation to a regular viewer/commenter these videos are first and foremost for club members, and so these club/member-focused bits will occur. They like them. Obviously it's nice for non members to watch and enjoy these clips also, and our subscriber and viewer numbers are pretty good, and when the stats are analysed, our vids do get watched the world over, and the duration of view is above the KZread average for these sort of things. So hopefully we are doing something right. Please enjoy the rest of the video.
The filming on this is awful, one 3 second clip after another
Nothing to do with the filming. . . The editing, maybe. . . And I did that 🤣🤣🤣 Stats show short clips like that get greater retention than longer ones so won’t be changing style anytime soon 👍🏾
Great location, fantastic sound and very clever editing. Keep 'em coming.
Thank you for your kind comments. Much appreciated. A second set, in similar style, are in the works. Keep your eyes (and ears...) open... 👍
Your editor needs to be fired.
Your comment was passed along to said editor... Fortunately he is not a Gen Z snowflake so your comment did not send him into a tail-spin that required therapy... He simply shrugged his shoulders and muttered... 'can't please all of the people all of the time...'😍
I think your introductory comment is even more robust than the old Series Land Rovers themselves?, Great introduction great film many thanks ,,I have owned a 1963 Long wheel base for over 30 years, really well made vehicles.
Nice driving 👍 Greetings from Germany everybody 👋
It would appear that some of them were driving on a prayer 😂😂😂
Many of us were...😁
This is very entertaining and enjoyable to watch nothing like a bit of mud to put a smile on someone's face
Pleased you enjoyed it.
Great filming as usual, but do something about the terrible music! Preferably just leave it out.
The music is a tricky subject... Like/dislike is about 50% from random polls! We tend to run V8 videos without music, but many of the others (usually RTVs) have a backing track, or part backing. Additionally, the music often covers wind noise, no noise..., or even talking and similar. With this set, some of the more interesting 'chatter' was kept in, but the music does cover some chatter that just sounds odd as the clip cuts it mid word. Hope you continue to enjoy our stuff. For a channel that started primarily for club members, it's doing ok.
The “ new “ 4X4s is why I hang on to my old Toyota Landcruisers and old Ford 4x4 trucks, no ground clearance, no winches on them, no off road tires…..
where can we find rules and regs for the classes ?
We are governed by Motorsport UK (MSUK) and the 'bible' for rules is 'the blue book' but this covers motorsport... pretty much in its entirety... But if you want to know and understand the rule rules..., this is where you start. For a few guys playing in the woods at the weekends, all the safety and that sort of stuff rules are always adhered to, but there's always leeway with the 'competitive' rules. Certainly here at BLRC there is no prize money, no trophies, and most of us don't really care about the competitive element too much. When the scores are given at the end of the day, you can decide for yourself who you were competing against, and who you discount should you wish to.
@@brecklandlandroverclub6223 thanks for the information and quick response, I'll definitely check it out also , I'm busy studying the alrc roll cage regulations and the green book as I'm looking into building a ccv trailer
@@R_ovrlnd It maybe sounds obvious, but your local Land Rover club will be able to provide you with a wealth of information, and depending on your skill level/familiarity with Land Rovers, tips, hints and all that sort of stuff as well.
@Breckland Land Rover Club I'm not in the uk and this will be just a toy , but the info you have given me did put me on the right track thanks
@@R_ovrlnd Pleasure.
Just wondering did George get a clear and how did he do it from the passenger seat 😂.
He's not a great passenger, truth be told... That's his 'dad' at 2.43... Which I think explains why he's not such a good passenger...
That RR is a far cry from the original RR.
Muchas gracias por los videos, me gustan mucho, pero me gustarían mucho más, si le quitasen la música, y como enamorado de los Land Rovers ,pudiera oír el sonido de los motores. Un saludo.
I love those Land Rover trucks, looks like everyone had fun.
We do. Not too serious, just a day out with some like-minded folk really.
Once again you’ve knocked it out the park or should I say off-road site, George doing his due diligence oh and Steve Harley and cockney rebel.
Pleased you liked it.
good work shaun
The music and the slow mo and fast mo made it like a Benny Hill 4 WD comedy!
That's a compliment, right? I mean, Benny Hill was a star...
So expecting to produce 12,500 units in five years just so the the Rover Co. could get back on its feet in post war Britain. 75 years later.... Pretty big success story there and still my only choice of 4x4 for twenty years!
Turned off as soon as the awful music started! 🙉
You know what they say.... Can't please all of the people...
What can I say another brilliant video and good old George for being on duty and keeping everybody in order.
He will be popping up in parts 2 & 3 I suspect... Any clue about that backing track????? Think 1970s...
If I remember correctly it was from UFO by Gerry Anderson. I am 64 years old and remember most of them.
@@spellbinder101 You got it in 1... I've just watched them all again on ITV Player. They were ahead of their time in many ways, but I had many a good belly laugh at some of what wokes would now call the overt sexism in some episodes....
Well let the snowflakes cry and boohoo I can’t even be bothered about them.
and 40 years later it's still happening ... in France of all places 🙂 kzread.info/dash/bejne/namXppmdnbKtfcY.html
I will be coming out to your neck of the woods one day when health and finances are no longer an issue and my discovery 3 is back on the road.
You will be very welcome, and I'm sure George would love to meet you. Bring him snacks though!
MATT ROCK SOOO HARD MATT KENETIC RECOVERY ROPE MATT T-JAY...
Enjoyable until the LOUD music started. See ya.
I'd be interested to know what music you listen to in your spare time...
wonder if it spossable to cram a 109 thrue those tracks
We have a member who occasionally trials a 109 S3... He's not that successful, but I expect you pretty much guessed that! On a good day, we give him two shunts per section...
@@brecklandlandroverclub6223 haha maby when mine is 2a 109 is done id give it a gow
@@mechanicalmoron2251 You would be most welcome 👍
Lovely V8 sounds!!! for the first few minutes...
To be honest, most of what you hear are diesel clatter...
Good old George always a pleasure to see him.
He puts in an appearance in the next set as well... They'll be up in a couple of days...
Spoiled by the music cutting out the motors.
Put some decent tires on it aired down and smaller rims that vehicle might be able to go off-road. Set up like it is from the factory, it shouldn't be allowed to be called an off-road vehicle. A winch wouldn't help at all in Sand Hollow, no trees to hookup to. Might want to carry a kinetic rope so people with a real off-road vehicle can pull it out.
22" rims. No AT tires available. Not enough sidewall to lower tire pressure. Soft sand. Pretty foreseeable.
This would make a great Jeep commercial... 20+ year old Jeep saves Brand New Range Rover, who do you want to adventure in the Hollow's with?? LOL
There are 3 important things that influence a 4x4’s capabilities. They are , in order of importance. 1. Tires 2. Tires 3. Tires If you still struggle , try 4. Tires.
Range Rover living up to its name......Junk!
disclosure i came here because i follow MORR, good job, hard to go wrong once you're moving follow that banana at speed I'll keep you in my feed for a while and see how you're doing
Hello there and welcome. I think tucked away in MORR's history there's another Land Rover recovery I can trim to suit BLRC and I'll do that in a week or so. Hope you enjoy that. Most of our content is BLRC trials, but as time permits I will scour KZread and see what i can find that I think will appeal to the folks that follow us.
That range should smoke the banana here, is the issue the driver?
What a honk
No shoes, no Shirt, no service!
That was rather boring.
Thanks!
Range Rovers are street cars only .
Stolen content.
The word 'stolen' is incorrect and I feel this should be made perfectly clear. Nothing here has been 'stolen' from anybody. The use of this clip breaks no KZread rule. There is no copyright applied by law. In fact, if you look across KZread a huge number of videos are no more then clips of clips of clips from another KZread source, and in most cases without any acknowledgement to any source. What has been done here is to take a specific clip, trim it, make it more 'intended audience specific' and put it on a 'not for profit' KZread channel targeted at Land Rover owners. Additionally, and very importantly, no attempt whatsoever is made to disguise the source or lay claim to the clip. In fact the opposite is true. BLRC goes out of the way to identify the source, and actively promotes the source. The title card at the very start of this clip a prime example of that. OK, for sure a pokey little KZread channel like BLRC's is not going to send a lot of views to Matt's channel, but every little helps... And... as important, is the fact that this channel IS NOT MONITISED, and never will be. Hopefully these words will enable you to reconsider the use of 'stolen'. Thank you.
