  @@Speeds_Gaming_Corner I buy all my warhammer from amazon and I have like 1200 points of stuff and I am already reaching 600$. 2x combat patrol, the scouts are like 55$ a box, can't buy a land raider yet but filled out with 2 ballistus dreads because point cost and money cost is manageable atm for me hoping next month I can get a case for this army, then land raider by November.

  Admech is just one of those armies you have to collect slowly over a longer period of time than other factions, collecting via limited time bundles and fomo boxes. It was pure luck that I got into 40K/Admech last year at the exact point in time where the Elimination Maniple battleforce, Boarding Patrol, Old CP, and later the current CP were all still in stock. these alone gave me 12 kataphrons, 40 skitarii and one unit of almost every kit in the faction, since then ive used ebay bundles to fill gaps in my collection. Hopeful admech collectors, my advice is just have patience for good deals and future limited time discounts like the boarding patrols. The models themselves are hard enough to paint already, by the time I finish my backlog 11th edition will roll around.

  That's true, but imperial space marines looking similar makes sense given their a unified force following the same core philosophy. Chaos space marines are wildly different in terms of identity, variation of chaos vs renegade, different goals, etc.

  @@Speeds_Gaming_Corner I would say. Word Bearers kept their legion intact. So they would minus possessed. Iron warriors are very military oriented and keep similiar look, THousand sons never changed they became robots. Deathguard are all diseased. Not sure about night lords alpha. Black legion have a lot of mix and renegades.

  Yes. Indirect is very good against sisters of battle and chip damage always has value. Unless you are dedicating them to be your MAIN tank killer and don't want indirect making things awkward for the extra ap then keepthing them around helps a lot.

  @@Speeds_Gaming_Corner i got beaten the living sh**t Out of me for the past half year.... Last Game wanted me to quit the hobby... But still here I am. On the other hand, I'vr got myself into other systems that are cheaper and have alternating acrivations (Bolt Action, A Song of Ice and Fire).

  @dariostabletopminatures I did not win a game for my first year of playing. 1 year after that I went 5-0 in a competitive heat against some really solid players. Growth is hard in this game. It's hard to take those losses on the chin, but taking every game as a chance to learn what you can do better is everything in this game.

  @@Speeds_Gaming_Corner yeah....thats what I am feeling too. All the stomping got me to a Rocky 4 Level. Now I am ready to beat them all! That was the mindset all along. Same for Bolt Action. I took it on the chin for the first year. Now I can dish out the pain hahhaa.

  Jeez, this one isn't an April Fool's episode so I wanna call it a redemption arc, but we're talking about an army who's (recently buffed) combat patrol still has worse points-per-dollar than the normal boxes of units of most armies. Have you ever considered suggestions for kitbashes or counts-as units? Because I bet fancy paint jobs on 30k stuff or maybe some Necromunda/AoS kids could help out certain armies. That, and certain bitz can be used to turn normal troops into leaders, especially for uniform looks like Space Marines. (For example, I'm going to use the Orlock Arms Masters and Wreckers box to make scout-themed Jump Intercessors because 60 bucks for a 80 point unit feels awful. And they'll be led by a jump sergeant that I turned into a captain because their sculpts are literally identical anyway.)

  I do consider kitbashes (even called them out by name in my sisters video), but the best I could find was using the solar auxilla boxes from HH as supplements with the extra sprue bits to try to make something like a specialized Skitarii ranger in case you wanted 8 battle line units for some reason. You could probably do a skitarii marshal that looked pretty good though. HH mechanicus units not being out did make it a little awkward. I tried asking around for good ways to save money on collecting admech and the best answer I got other than 3d print was "theft".

  Yes. There are a couple of small things that have gained value, but nothing on here is bad. You might consider wanting to pick up more synaptic creatures as they received a HUGE boost that helps out the entire army, but other than that you can follow this and find success.

  Thanks so much for the quick reply! I have bought the starter set a few weeks back, and I'm trying to build an unending swarm list. I have also found a good deal for a leviathan box. How would you adapt the buying order for unending swarm if there would be the option to have a leviathan box as part of it? Would you recommend going that route or is the starter set straightup better for unending swarm? ​@@Speeds_Gaming_Corner

  I would start by picking up a hive tyrant and seeing how you like the feel of the army. If you like the smaller bugs keep going down that unending swarm style and if you like the bigger bugs more go down a path with more of them. The leviathan box is a solid middle of the road option.

  Honestly I stand by the idea that you can scratch build some of most of your Admech units to cut down on the cost. If you think about it the kataphrons breachers/destroyers are kinda just tonks with torso holding big guns instead of gun turrets

  If you grab some guardsmen from Horus Heresy you can work some stuff with the extra skitarii ranger bits to make some unique looking rangers vs the vanguards, but you still need to have enough bits to mix and match stuff around to get there. It's probably the best way to actually get a ton of battle line for cheap though.

  I have never played it so I wouldn't feel qualified to give any opinions on the game. But if I ever build that Luminoth army that everyone tells me is awful to play against I'll give it a thought.

  Is the first 2000 point list still legal? I want to make sure, because in battle scribe, and the warhammer app it says it would be around 1840. What change should I add to get it to where it needs to be?

  It is not still legal because you cannot run a changling without having a unit of Tzeench battle line units. You could run a unit of pink horrors and have it be around 1980 pts. you can also cut the changling entirely and then run some more rubrics and infernal masters or a mutilith vortex beast.

  Heh, trying to collect Sisters on a budget, that's ambitious. If you want to build Sisters on any sort of budget, you had better be prepared to kitbash. Many Sisters models, especially characters, can be kitbashed mostly just by swapping arms, heads and decorative pieces. Be prepared to sacrifice a box of Battle Sisters as martyrs for the cause of being kitbash bodies. If you can manage to get an old Combat Patrol (the one with a Rhino), be sure to snap it up. It's a great deal, though it does come with the downside of monopose kits with limited loadouts. You'll need to get your weapon options from other kits (Battle Sisters, Retributors and Seraphim), but you were going to buy those other kits anyway. Don't build the CP Seraphim straight away; use parts from a proper Seraphim box to build them as Zephyrim where possible, and the non CP models as Seraphim. This one is the big one: the Novitiates Kill Team box comes with a whole lot of spare arm bits that aren't used in their 40k loadout, but can be used on spare Battle Sister bodies to create a Dialogus, Hospitaller, and Dogmata. Note though that you need to find a 40mm base for the Dialogus and 50mm base for the Hospitaller if you want to be strict on correct base sizes. There are also whips to make a Repentia Superior if you need an extra one of those, a Condemnor, and an Eviscerator. You don't have to buy a Palatine. She's basically just a fancy Sister Superior with Plasma Pistol and Power Sword. Giver her some decorative halo on her backpack. An Imagifier can be made from a Battle Sister Simulacrum bearer, you just need a hooded head (eg Sacresant) and a statue to put on her stick. Immolators have a decent statue on their back. The Seraphim box comes with enough backpacks and arms to turn 5 Battle Sisters into Seraphim/Zephyrim, whichever you didn't already build, so long as you don't mind their more static pose. You might need some tactical pillars or rocks on your base to get them an appropriate height above it, if you're strict about that sort of thing. You can kitbash a Canoness into a Jump Canoness using a spare Zephyrim backpack, a Sacresant halberd, or power sword and Sacresant Hand Flamer. Again a tactical rock to stand on may be necessary. You can turn a Rhino into an Immolator by sticking two copies of a heavy weapon onto its turret (like the unused guns from another Immolator for example), swapping the Stormbolter for a Heavy Boltor, and adding enough decorative bits you might convince yourself this isn't just a heavily armed Rhino. TBH this is not pretty, but Immolators are expensive and seemingly forever sold out. And of course you can turn Heavy Flamers into Multimeltas as described in the video.

  So on that front, the idea with it is similar to how the Kroot detachment in T'au works. Where most detachments get 1 detachment rule to compliment their army rule, these detachments don't get to use the army rule. As a result, they get effectively 2 detachment rules.
