Honestly, there is no right answer & I think it depends on what you value and what's important to you on whether Apple or Android is better. I used the original iPhone to the 4S, and I just felt like they weren't doing any type of innovation/significant change. But recently my dad got an iPhone 15 Pro Max, so I got to takeover his iPhone 12 Pro Max. The time with it has just reinforced what I think the pros/cons of each: The pros for Android is rhe customization, being able to have 5-6 icons in a row, clicking/dragging music/movies from my external hard drive and putting it onto my phone. It is just a lot EASIER on Android, then it is on an iPhone. Also as a guy who has multiple Line, FB, etc accounts its easier on Android bc I can do dual apps etc. Charging is another area where Android is becsause you can supercharge your phone a lot faster. Android also comes in more variety of sizes and now with foldables, rhere is just more out there. For iPhones, I myself like the haptic feedback when typing as well as the sounds that you hear when sending/receiving messages/notifications etc. I would also say that iPhones look/feel premium and thr resale value is CRAZY when compared to Android which decreases in price from day 1. Other people would bring up Facetime, iMessage, Air Drop and the Apple Ecosystem, but I don't have a Mac, iPad etc so this doesn't apply to me. Anyways, at the end of the day, it just depends on what makes you happy❤

RCS exists and it's more advanced than iMessage. Will Apple implement it? No. They want people to buy iPhones JUST for iMessages. Also, on Android, EVERYTHING is customizable, INCLUDING the animations. I literally have the same animations that are on iOS and it's Hella better on a 120hz screen. I'll never go back to a 60hz. That mess is straight up cat vomit.

I was android since day one. Changed to iPhone 3 years ago and iPhone is not bad but I miss Android. I miss the pixel phone, the Samsung latest phones. The note 😢 Anyways, once you’re on the eco system is hard to leave iPhone. Examples: Apple Watch Apple Pay Apple TV Savings with Apple FaceTime (90% of people I know have iPhones) iMessage iMovie Find my As much as I want to go back, it’s impossible 🥲

I keep buying pixels and switching back to iPhone because if Google themselves can't give me a flawless iOS like experience who can? Seriously I switched from a 2020 SE to a pixel 8. Huge screen improvement and I can actually manage my files easily but why does the old iPhone feel so much smoother? Like if they had rent a phone like they do rent a car on vacation and I needed a reliable appliance id choose the iPhone. But for my personal phone it's more important that certain features exist than the whole operating system be perfect

I've used both over the years. I use one for a few years then switch back to the other. For a long time iPhone was stagnant but then with the X they suddenly started moving forward again and now both the hardware and software are very compelling. I'm currently on Android but plan to move to iPhone towards the end of the year, God willing. I've been using either old flagships or budget phones for the past 4 years and I'm tired of mediocre cameras. There's nothing in the current mid range android segment that's any good. They all have weak CPU, very bad cameras, awful video and plastic build. And are not cheap anymore. Most don't even have headphone jacks or SD card slots either. So I'm going to buy the best iPhone I can afford, whether that's the latest iPhone 16 or the 13 or 14. I want to do the same for my wife so we're on the same platform. She prefers iPhones anyway. One important note: I will still be using Google Photos for my storage and backup. The reason for this is because if I switch back to Android at a few years it's VERY DIFFICULT to get your photos out of icloud. And Notes too You cannot get them out without a Mac, it's crazy. Whereas Google makes it very easy to export all your stuff on any pc and gives it to you in zips you download. Super easy. No lock in. I'll just use iCloud for sync and phone backup on the free tier. As far as the OS goes I do think iOS tends to implement features which are more wanted and used by consumers: facetime and iMessage, using your iPhone as a camera on your Mac or apple TV, memoji, setting your own unique contact card, easy sharing of contact details, lock screen customisation, bedtime clock, SOS assist, fall detection, crash detection, sharing location with a loved one, UWB to find your pods or keys or wife in a shopping centre, fast awesome cameras that always get a great shot boo matter what, top tier video quality, appealing curved phone design , fluid animations, on device Siri, airdrop These are quality of life details that matter more than being able to do OTG, or being able to fold the phone, or change an icon. iOS now seems to focus on your interaction with people and also with your health. Android focuses on tech specs and how this device can fold. At the end of the day the focus on people and interacting with them easily, with high quality photos and documents, with ease of use are what matters more. And Google in future is making the same mistake. It's going all in on Ai but that won't help human interaction in any meaningful way. It won't detect if I've had an accident or make it easy to video call someone or send them a video, picture or memoji. Google Fit is a joke next to Apple Health and so is android TV next to Apple TV. Apple enables lifestyle whereas Android is more about giving you the basic tech so they can advertise to you and use you as Ai guinea pigs to make them more money. Only Samsung really focuses on users and quality of life but it still came measure Apple's offerings and services, and only the premium Samsung devices get this. The A55 costs €550 here in Cyprus and had a weak CPU and shit cameras. For €549 I can get a new 128gb iPhone and for €619 an iPhone 13. Both of which kill the Samsung. Plus in a few years I can trade in the iPhone for a new one, but Samsung doesn't have that here. If Apple would bring back the iPhone SE with the 6.1 screen, A15, a great single camera with wireless charging and magsafe, and price it at €450 for 128Gb they would decimate the budget Android market in the EU, US and many other markets, including India. So many people want iPhone but can't afford it, so a modern SE with that price would wipe out all Android sales from €350 and up. Only the very cheap €300 and below android phones would be left....

Another good argument is that Apple forces you to put in some sort of credit card information I can’t download FREE apps unless I put that in and I had a problem where a transaction didn’t go through and for a while I could not download anything despite the amount of times I kept adding my card information knowing it had money in it finally after tinkering with it for so long I was able to figure it out and I was forced to pay for that transaction that never went through sad thing is I never got what I paid for but I was finally able to download apps and update them again

I had an iPhone 11 Pro Max for about 5 months and the only reason was my business partner at the time he had used an iPhone and I was like well if you buy me one that's fine but I really don't want one. And the craziest part about it is thankfully I never owned an iPhone so I wasn't in that stupid phase that most of iPhone users are. Where they think the phone is the best no matter what and they don't even bother looking at other phones lol. I can't believe the amount of people who are iPhone users don't realize they're getting charged for apps that are totally free like it's the same exact app but you're getting charged five bucks a month who the hell does that money go to.

You can still do the swipe gestures in android; you can also have the screen brighter its just in the settings, Google messages is just as good if not better, and a green text means nothing . All of the features are just hidden; if you just take some time to set them up!

Buying an iPhone is like moving into a fully furnished house - just bring your towels and toothbrush, and you’re all set. I appreciate this video detailing how Apple’s interfaces are meticulously designed, sparing users from the hassle of customization. Personally, I don’t require much from my phone and lack the time to tweak every setting for each app. I agree that the iMessage and app optimization are selling points. The iPhone’s popularity in America stems from its plug-and-play simplicity - it’s ready to use without a manual. As a college student, my iPhone serves more than just communication; it’s a multi tool for saving notes, managing tasks, recording lectures, and scanning documents . Plus, iCloud storage ensures seamless access to my media across all devices. After over 10 years of using the iPhone, I am satisfied with the phone’s performance.

I have both Samsung S24 Ultra and an IPhone 15 pro max. I have a Mac and an iPad. I also have a Mac at work. Arguably, the S24 is better in many ways but I have lots of issues with Google Assistant understanding simple commands like making WhatsApp calls. For some reason I can never get it to work consistently and I get it you can do lots more with GA but Siri in my experience is way faster, understands me better and just gets the job done. And believe me I have been through every setting video because I really wanted to work for me. Another reason, the iPhone is much lighter and easy to hold with one hand and the keyboard is now and days way better and faster. Also, camera. I love the photos coming out from Samsung but the difference is minimal. Video, however, is much better from the iPhone. The stability and dynamic range is insane on the 15PM. I really love my s24 but the pros are not enough for me to replace all my apple ecosystem. Plus everyone at work and family has an iPhone. As much as would not follow the flow, it is really convenient to use airdrop and the copy paste. After almost 4 month, I had made my decision. I will keep my iPhone for convenience, not because it is the best phone, but because it is the best phone for me personally.

Being a person that has used both apple and samsung Rn I use an Iphone as far me personally am concerned I really barely remember me customizing my phone that often yea its a nice feature to have but not a deal breaker or fixer for me If u’d ask me abt this when i was 13 yea maybe I’d go for the samsung due to customization but being grown up now I realize why ppl buy iphones , what I m concerned with personally is that I don’t game too much its usually just social media and a bit of work And I really don’t wanna be upgrading every 2 years Even if u have an iphone x it would prolly still work fine The thing with samsungs is that I personally don’t think it is as long lasting as an iPhone With apps having better optimization overall and a more fluid layout In simple words its just ur prefrerence what phone u wanna use

Do you store all of those photos in iCloud, or do you backup all those photos in iCloud? There is a difference and its one of my biggest issues with iCloud. If you really stored them there then you could delete them off your local device like I do with my pixel and still access them on your phone.

I used my Series 9 for an entire day and left my iPhone at home without any problems. You just need to put it on “low battery mode” immediately after charging to 100% so the battery is conserved for longer. I listened to Apple music for 2 hours, made a 45 minute phone call, sent some texts, paid for a few subway rides and shopped for food with ApplePay. It was at 10% when I got home. Also used the watch as my key fab for my Tesla ❤
