They grave him good advice by keeping him alive but he remembered Karstark telling him that he will set him free. Like making of fun of him. That’s was disrespectful to the King. He had to kill him. After this Rob should have went back to calhold and took it over. Then go back to winterfell.

Sometimes I get recommendations for old clips of GOT, its so depressing that they tanked the ending so bad I'll probably never give it a full rewatch.

I think i just realised why Robb did what he did. He had just heard not long prior that both of his brothers were killed by his friend Theon, who was like an adopted brother to him. And now a Karstark, a related house to the starks, killed 2 boys under his protection. I think this act reignited the recent trauma of losing his brothers to theon and he's taking it out on Karstark. I also think its his experience with theon that he won't keep him as a hostage. His father kept theon as a hostage and theon killed his brothers. Of course his brothers are alive, but he doesn't know that.

2:16 another display of Edmure's incompetence: secretively burying noble bones and not returning them to their home is a great insult in Westerosi culture. In the books, silent sisters go out of their way to reattach Ned Stark's head with wire and take his bones to Catelyn, then they agree to take Ned's bones to Winterfell while walking through literal battlefields (even though Ned worshipped the Old Gods). During Robert's Rebellion, Ned buried Lord Dustin's bones in a secret location in Dorne, and his widow was so offended that she actively plots to keep his bones from reaching Winterfell. If they'd done it Edmure's way, the tide would've turned on Robb even quicker.

It really bothers me that people fail to understand that the red wedding was mostly cats fault. You think Tywin would give the green light on robb knowing jaime would die...... cat freeing jaime not only gave the greenlight, it caused the kastark beheading which caused robb needing Frey again which again.... lead to the red wedding. U can say she did it for her children but if it wasnt for Breane, u really expect old jaime to actually listen ??? All robb did was marry a woman he loved. Even if it was the wrong one he didnt need Frey after the bridge until someone decided to free the only leverage he had
