The second movement is really beautiful. The dialogue between the piano and the wind instruments is excellent. I think it is one of the most beautiful pieces in this world.

The real performance of this piano concerto comes at the hands of Cristina Ortiz. Sorry, but Ms. Wang falls very short, here. She's a world-class pianist, but she does not understand this piano concerto at all. This entire performance is shallow. Too bad for Maestro Nezet-Seguin; he, too, fails to understand Shostakovich in this performance. The orchestra and piano at times are almost totally uncoordinated. Listen to Cristina Ortiz if you really want to enjoy and understand this fabulous work. kzread.info/dash/bejne/h3V7sq-Alc6boqw.html

The part from 17:15 to 19:30 (roughly) is one of the most beautiful things I have heard-watched in a very long time. Both the music and the way Yuja Wang enjoys playing it, sings along to the notes and smiles, are just dreamy... I can't get enough of this video... Thank you for uploading it...

To my ear the piano seems too quiet compared to the rest of the orchestra although I can see two microphones for the piano. Perhaps it says a lot about the acoustics of the Carnegie hall as in not very good.
