Okay if someone has any idea how to help me I would greatly appreciate it. Just bought a series 5 Apple Watch. Reset it and opened the watch app on my iPhone to pair. It gets to where it says I need to update the watch. But when I click it it says no connection even though my phone is connected to WiFi. I can’t connect the watch to WiFi until it’s set up right? Or at least I haven’t figured out to if there is a way. I’ve tried restarting my phone and watch. My iPhone is updated to the latest iOS(17.5.1) and it’s a 13 pro max. Anyone know what’s up?

I really hate that this is the answer. You shouldn't be locked into iPhone to use a cellular apple watch. It should function completely independently of any other device. I have an iPhone, iPad and Mac...my apple watch is the only reason I'm worried about getting an android phone again and that really sucks and is anti-consumer!
