Wtf does this even mean? this is literally one of the fastest rally cars of all time, if not THE fastest rally car of all time. Henri Toivonen put down a lap time that would have qualified in the top 10 of an f1 race that season in it. no shit its going to be faster than a ricer build. It's also going to be faster than any non-riced built car too. It has a turbo *and* a supercharger, and puts that power down to all 4 wheels. It's so fast that it eventually killed that previously mentioned driver.

The steam (water) rocket car as stated above is at 215 mph (346 kph) in 2.5 seconds in 264 feet using 29 lbs of water converted to US equivalents and is a good rocket engineering accomplishment. Slamin' Sammy Miller in the Rocket Man Inc (RMI) ice speed record car, Oxygen, ran 247 mph in 1.6 seconds over 500 ft in 1981 using 25 gallons of hydrogen peroxide rocket car technology, at which RMI was the best ever. The water rocket shown produced saturated steam not superheated steam, which would require a 278 deg C at 900 psi, you can see observers sprayed by water vapor in the water rocket exhaust. RMI always warned "Beware of Rocket Blast" because our exhaust was gas at over 1600 deg F at the rocket nozzle end. The claimed horsepower is incorrect too, but sure sounds good.

The engineers did their job. It was marketing that had so many stupid ads that didn't explain the benefits of the Volt. It is simple... just works like a diesel locomotive. The engine drives an electric motor to make electricity when the battery runs low. You can run on gas cross country if you want without range anxiety.
