Here's what the DSM V says about diagnostic criteria for Generalized Anxiety Disorder. "A. Excessive anxiety and worry... occurring more days than not for at least 6 months, about a number of events (such as work or school performance). B. The individual finds it difficult to control the worry. C. The anxiety and worry are associated with three (or more) of the following six symptoms (with at least some symptoms having been present for more days than not for the past 6 months): *Note* Only one item is required in children. 1. Restlessness or feeling keyed up or on edge. 2. Being easily fatigued. 3. Difficulty concentrating or mind going blank. 4. Irritability. 5. Muscle tension. 6. Sleep disturbance (difficulty falling or staying asleep, or restless, unsatisfying sleep)...." To paraphrase the next couple points, the worrying/anxiety has to cause major impairment in your life, and it can't be caused by other things, like drug abuse or another medical condition.

What kind of counseling do I seek if I am having a hard time going outdoors because of neighbors drifting agricultural chemicals on my property and in my home ventilation system? I have become ill several instances over the years and since the advent of internet, I have found a correlation of being drifted on and getting sick from it. This is really ruining my life. I lay in bed some days, can not get out due to transient abdominal pain. It has disrupted my abilities to earn an income through my home nursery. The adjacent land owner told me in a threatening way to move if I didn't like the spray. I would have left, but I was ill from spray, couldn't hold down a job from the pain in my stomach, and I didn't have money to move. The farmer doing the spraying is working in the city council and in the county courthouse and the regulators have just stepped over me and ignored and discriminated against me for other agricultural benefits.
