  You should have deployed the supply camp and then made your own kingdom and thus you can use a good number of guards and equip them with your extra enchanted weapon and then actually assault the Air ship with a squad or if you make it large enough an actual army.

  I don't know if that version of the modpack had it, but the current version includes the Mythic Charms mod, which includes a charm that prevents you from being heard by Sculk Sensors. Would've prevented a lot of pain when you were visiting the Deep Dark dimension.
