    Greetings from Seattle! I just started Jeck, a free pattern from Regina Satta and I love it super simple rib design with slips and garter in place of just purls. I love a vertical design for self striping and medium speckle or variegated yarns to keep it interesting without losing all the detail in busy colors. Happy knitting!

    I did my Ariana cardigan in Christmas colours! It's currently tucked away because it's way too hot to wear at the moment.

    Hi! I am running some test behind the scenes and looking up what may be causing this. It is not on my original file but only after uploading. I think it is some type of compression issue. It started after I got my new internet so I will try to resolve in the future.

    All of your socks are amazing - you always pick great colors! I have such a hard time picking colors if it’s more than two haha I get total analysis paralysis but I like the idea of a lilac with the soft blue and charcoal - whatever you pick, I look forward to seeing it next time. Wow the yarnable yarn is super cool, it will definitely make amazing socks! AWWWW your chickens are beautiful, love all the names and you did a great job on their run, looks very professionally executed!

    Hello Caitlyn(?) New viewer. I also like to make socks and recently posted a podcast episode with quite a few pairs. We had chickens, but had to get rid of them when my spouse went to school in Mass...I have some medical issues and was unable to take care of them. They are a lot of fun though!

    I think the cardigan colors are going to be pretty! The shirt you are wearing in this podcast are what looks like to be the color choices for your cardigan…so I would buy that yellow and color palette wld be complete!!! Cannot wait to see what you decide either way!!!

    Just thought I would mention that Noelle from Knit n Pieces podcast just made the Heel Toe Do Si Do sock and she mentioned that with the way the stitches work make it a fit a bit tighter. I like Rose Red and Vanilla Cream with the other 2 colors

Nice to see podcasters taking part in SSC. I am as well. I think I’ve done 10 pairs but I am currently sockked out so a little break and then I’ll get back to them.

    Don’t suffer in heat - put your air on! No one will mind some background noise - other vloggers will explain that it’s HOT and simply apologize for any a/c noise. Most of the time, no one can hear what vloggers hear in their real life surroundings - maybe if someone is wearing headphones/earbuds.

I'm working on a hat just cause I wanted to make it to match a scarf I just finished. It's in the King Cole Fashion Aran which is 70%acrylic 30%wool, it's so nice and soft.

    for making the pickle socks smell, could you make up a little sachet with some dill in it? You could also do an apple cider vinegar rinse which would be all kinds of good things, and together would give a pickle-like smell without the pickle juice? I've always heard nupp pronounced the first way you said it, like yup or pup(py) and not like soup or goop or, well, anything else. I see other people have told you the band is Pink Floyd and the album is Dark Side of the Moon, a band and album I have never actually listened to, either.

    hey Katylyn! I have enjoyed your podcast this morning. I am a long time sock knitter of 40+ years but this is my first summer sock camp. I love the patterns you've chosen. There is absolutely no organization to yarns, colors, or patterns of socks I will be knitting so you have given me some great ideas. I usually knit for my family, children, the grand children, and friends.

    I adore making socks and for the first time will be taking part on Summer Sock Camp, with stuff ready to go on 24th May. Your ‘Karen’ socks will be beautiful - especially given the free yearn! Unlike you, I am making my socks longer and longer - I have never done any short socks, but have increased my leg from a 20 row cuff and 68 round leg to a 25 cuff and and 80 round leg. It is 22C/71.6 F here, but I still need my socks!! I am looking forward to see what you do for Summer Sock Camp. Jinny - UK

    Good news about the blanket recalculation 😂. If I were you, I would still try to do a little more each day, so that you don’t end up with loads to do just before the due date! If you have a busy yarn, I find the Blueberry Waffle sock pattern is perfect. It also grips the leg well. I love textured patterns, so am in the process of moving over to 100% nonsuperwash wool, in plain colours, so that the textures show up more. In the past, I have always used merino-nylon sock wool, but it feels like the time to change. I love the Long Dog yarn for this month - beautiful colours. My husband was a USN medic and has spent 2 periods in Okinawa during his life. Jinny - UK

    That is the plan. I think ill do 1 or 2 nights a week dedicated to the blanket so that the work is still going. Thanks for the pattern recommendation I will check it out! I typically do the Rhinebeck Roomies pattern for busy yarn and I want a texture but having a second pattern is perfect.

    First timer here. Enjoyed this very much. Question: on magic loop is there a way to rip back around 10 rows on leg or do I need to start over. I'm 40 rows into leg. Can I pick up stitches and how on magicloop

  • @shelabobby
    @shelabobby3 ай бұрын

    Thank you for watching! You can totally pick up without having to start over. So you will want to start by ripping out that needle (or use a second needle) and begin on your front or needle 1. Holding the sock like you are going to knit go from right to left picking up the right leg of each stitch on the row you want to go back to. Once you have all the stitches on the needle for the front, turn to the back side and pull that needle just like you would magic loop. Again pick up from right to left on the row you want to go back to only the right leg of each stitch. When you complete the back stitches, you now have your needles on front and back and in position to knit on needle 1/the front. You can now pull out the yarn till you reach your needles and begin knitting again

I have only a small stash - enough for about 12 pair of socks, enough minis and left overs for a mitred square blanket I am making, and acrylic for a baby blanket being made for an upcoming grand baby. I cannot hope with more than 3 WIPs at once, or I get very confused! Jinny - UK
