Thanks! I recommend sticking the LED on a more outside-facing angle on the bow, so that when you play, the lights are not facing directly upward. I did this once with bedroom wired LED christmas lights which I wrapped painstakingly around the bow, it was so tedious... Then I used an LED thin strip, powered by those lithium coin batteries, so I wouldn't have to take a wristband on and off to play, but the strip I just taped on and it wasn't straight. This looks more straightforward but I'm worried about the adhesive on the bow.

Thank you! This is awesome. It looks like if you have about 20 bows it is about $8.50 a student. Probably a bit less for more bows because those zip ties and Velcro come in such large quantities.

I used a 26" on a 4/4 and tuck the battery into a wrist sweatband. I play fiddle in a country band and light up during B&D "Neon Moon"

What I want to know - how it feels to play with that thing hanging , how long you can play your violin and not wish to finish it altogether...

It's a little cumbersome, so I do not recommend it forever, but for a Star Wars tribute, it adds that extra magic.

What length do you suggest for 4/4 bow?

We did 24", a little short for violin/viola, but perfect for cello, had to trim for bass bows. 24" covers enough for the effect.
