Lisette Crafts and Tells

Hi, I'm Lisette! An avid diamond painter committed to keeping her STASH under control.

I love diamond painting challenges - so be prepared for some bold (and crazy?) ones. BEWARE - you might get enabled LOL.

On this channel I make sure that I only show legally licensed and/or copyright free artwork.

Oh, and as far as my accent goes.. I'm Dutch and I live in France.

Big Hug,
Lisette

I really enjoy this style of full review! Thank you so much for taking the time to put this together for us. I have been wanting to order from JGS for quite some time, I have purchased drills and their kit up service for a cross stitch conversion, but never a kit. Now that I know that drop shipping is a possibility, I will be putting in an order with them soon. 🥰

Thank you for the video! I had a liver transplant and the medication I must take for the rest of my life gives me terrible tremors in my hands. I cannot write now . About a year ago one of my therapists suggested diamond painting as a way to try to gain some control over the tremors. I have so enjoyed this craft! I use a regular pen but have to grip it at the very bottom, just like you showed. I have also tried the knob pens, and they are very comfortable- I prefer them with high confetti pieces. I do a lot of multi-placing, however, and dislike switching pens so often, as the knobs only allow for one tip. I'll have to try those mini-pens! Thanks for the tip!

Idk if you will see this comment cause it's an old video, but I just wanted to tell you how big of an impact your destash project had on me. See, I'm brand new to diamond painting, started with some small partial drill mandala canvases from Amazon that were enough for me to fall in love with DP, then bought a cheap Starry Night canvas also from Amazon that I didn't like and gave up on. I decided to buy my first ever real kit, and was considering CCAD "Tree of Life". Like I do with many things before I buy online, I looked on KZread for any reviews and videos of it and found your unboxing video on it. I wondered if you posted a video of it completed... That was how I found your epic destash video. Dude, you are a influencer for sure-- a destashing influencer. Cause you made me realize how easy it would be for me to fall into the trap of buying lots of kits and not doing them, just hoarding them out of FOMO and telling myself I'll Get To Em All Someday. I have just that kind of personality and a history of doing it with my other hobbies. If I had only seen all the DP KZreadrs and influencers doing it, making it seem like that's just the nature of the hobby, I probably would have done it too. But you've made me want to buck the norm and be a Only One Kit At A Time girlie. I have bought one (1) kit, one I am really excited about, Diamond Dotz "The Kiss", and am determined to finish it before buying another, then finish that one before finishing another, and so on... (FOMO is still so real though, and I'm considering bending my rule to be only one *type* of kit at a time, eg partial drill, full drill, full crystal-- I still really want Tree of Life and I'm paranoid about it going out of stock before I'm finished with The Kiss-- but that's an extremely slippery slope, isn't it?) Thank you for influencing me in such a positive direction and making me determined to not let this hobby become cluttered like my other hobbies. You gave a dose of reality by showing how difficult and how long it takes to ACTUALLY Get To Em All Someday. You've set an amazing example in a culture of overconsumption, and shown it's possible to do this hobby another way. 😊

I taught myself to do this. I am a lefty too and I have to have surgery on my thumb next month. I started with squares, then I realized that I was going to struggle. So I just single place right now with rounds and squares. Thank you for sharing, I feel so better knowing I am not the only one that is going through this ❤

It is really good for your brain to work with your non-dominant hand as much as possible. It’s one of the best things you can do to develop both sides of your brain.

I was packing the upstairs because the floors were going to get redone and I hurt my right elbow down to my thumb just from lifting and carrying. I am right handed and I can't do anything with it. It's been 4 months and still useless and hurts. I was just thinking yesterday how I wish I was ambidextrous so I could use my left hand to Diamond Paint. It's like you read my mind lol.

Hi Lisette, I have two different injuries in both shoulders, but my non-dominant is the worse of the two. I’m right-handed and can’t do much with my left hand; however, if my right shoulder flares up, I will give it a try. Thanks for the tips. ❤

Oh Lisette! It’s so pretty! I’m not really interested in diamond painting a J Wall but I love to admire them when other people do them. The details are amazing. I would rather do heavy confetti and get the details that color blocking. Thank You for the update!

I think the percentage of people like me who chose the "weird question" response is higher because many of us may have migrated to your channel because of your realism and practicality. There are so many channels with people who continually hoard new kits, constantly unboxing them rather than completing them. This channel encourages DP-ers to buy only what we can complete and to enjoy the process rather than the acquisition! ❤

I completed my first JGS diamond painting last fall and it was just a fantastic piece to work on. I have 5 more in my stash, including a Kat Fedora piece "The Apprentice." Jade puts out such beautiful canvases and I love the variety of the art available on her site.
