  You are correct. But this video and these people complained to the news. After this video was shown over 14,000 permits to shoot black vultures have been issued. These vultures are all exterminated and they will probably be extinct soon as ignorance and rumors caused many past extinctions.

  Vultures sleep at night. This was the only time the afterbirth was there for them. This Vultures video was shown on the TV news and since then the black vultures are shot as they have been given a permit. The vultures were not harming anything just cleaning up and are not guilty.

  As a Wildlife Rehabilitator with Education Permits I have a Black Vulture I use in my education program Ernest and his wild relative's don't have the equipment to kill a healthy animal They don't have talons for gripping and yes his beaks is sharp but it's not capable of tearing healthy flesh I've had people tell me the eat the eyes of calves I personally have never seen a one eyed calf or cow they just don't have the necessary neck muscles to tear into healthy flesh If a first time mom was to step on and kill her calf then yes they would step in but with a dead animal eyes don't rigger and the only way they can excess the inside of a body is mouth, eyes or genital if I give Ernest a fresh road kill squirrel he drags it around until I come in and open it They just can't do it

  Yes you know this. The vultures are all being shot because of this video that was made so this man could get permission to shoot vultures. This video was sent to the news station and shown on the TV news. It started the ignorance and the false rumors that will surely become the extinction of the black vultures.

  Ahh @AmosMoses, you're one of those people that I'd love to film while on safari, so that we can watch you NOT get our of your vehicle and attempt to intervene, only to most likely be killed by the prey animals (cattle here) themselves. Besides, not only being illegal, to shoot them, you would run the risk of getting yourself shot (in the US), by trespassing onto private property. It's "buzzards" by the way, not "Heil Hi... er Bussards"

  These birds have overpopulated and need killed they do in fact kill calves sheep and other animals used to feed humans! Too many species are protected by these ignorant LEFT animal protection groups! It’s horrible. Protect the ranchers that feed humans!

  Misinformation caused by this video that was created to be sent to TV news in order to get permission to shoot vultures. Black Vultures are only scavengers unable to kill live animals and do not have the desire nor the abilities to do so.

  Why humans did not help this time? I see it as the cows will protect their youngsters like elephants and other animals. Having said that, there were many harraser there and if one got too close to the baby calf, it could hurt her eyes or a cows eye. Where I come from, one always Carrie's a gun in the farms. A shoot would have scared the vultures. Just to give the baby a break from all that prolong stress. At least this time.

  These are rare scavenger birds. The man who made this video has shot these vultures now and he also sent this video to the TVnews where it began a viral media craze of misinformation. The vultures were only there that one hour and were not even there when the news team arrived but he was still given permission to shoot rare vultures too.
