  when you type "- 10" for example is not working? try updating your Illustrator version you may fix it

  how do you convert the path from the shape that was distorted to match the newly made shape? im trying to add shapes to a grid witch i then divide with the pathfinder but it doesnt work because the path doesnt match the shape the path stays a circle or a rectangle and it goes all crazy help

  that is because you are not using the direct selection tool or you are not unlicking before trying to round it. Make sure you grab the direct selection tool then unselect the Object by unclicking on the empty artboard and only then try to select one corner of your object and try to round it.

  This was such a nice and helpful guide! Currently while writing this I'm not familiar with Iullstrator at all, but I'm taking a graphic design class and our first assignment is a business card. I enjoy both reading and writing and so I wanted to implent a book icon onto it, and so this really came in clutch!
