I’ve been watching “off and on” for most of the past 30 days and it honestly seems like you are throwing the same pot every day. Yes, one has one stripe and another has two or three, but they really do seen very similar. You handle the clay with ease and mastery, but I watch daily to see something different. So far, I have been amazed at how good you are at throwing “that pot.” I’m not trying to be rude. Keep at it.
@@gpeyton For this series it was intended to be flower pots so I decided to do different designs on a 4lb squat pot. I will do more videos of different styles of pottery not just flower pots but in pottery there are arches, straights and domes so in fairness to your comment there would only be 3 types of pots. I will show a video when these are all fired so you can see the differences. Today’s last video will be a bulbous “dome” shape which clearly is different in shape. In high school I wanted to be Peter Voulkos when I grew up but it needn't be slashed and poked, neatly scalloped is nice too. Pottery pup should be good for a subscriber or two. Pups name?
@@pottersjournal Very cool inspiration! My grandfather was an abstract expressionist.. part of the Bauhaus movement 😀 The utilitarian side of the holes is for air for the orchids. The roots end up pouring out of the side and it ends up looking so cool! Pottery pup’s name is Buddy Rich Wolff. Always need a drummer around here because I can’t play guitar and drums at the same time very well 😂

2) Question: what is the difference between the 2 metal "edges" you use? The first one is longer/taller; the second one is shorter, but with a steady hand, you work your way up the vessel at the same height you created, with the first one. 🤔👩🏼🌾💚 =^..^=
@@naturegirl7777 The first one I made to do exactly that. I creates my basic angle and the desired height (and sometimes width) the second is just easier for me to finish with 😀😀👍
