Alik i always notice your fruit looks so much bigger than what's commonly found even in larger varieties like Laverne Red and similar ones. What's your secret? Special fertilizer or something? There was a guy in Thailand who used like Soy milk and Cow's milk and produce a world record dragon fruit the size of a basketball

Hi Danny, I wish I know the secret. The Connie Mayer I purchased from Cal Poli Nursery less than 3 years ago. It has almost the same bloom last year. My two early bloomers were Sugar Sragon and this one. Between both of them probably 200 fruits. The other 10 varieties out of 45 were giving just 5-10 flowers on the first wave. Total in one month of June, I’ve pollinated about 500 flowers. I keep recording every night. Today was one flower. Some nights are 50. Lots of new buds for the second wave. Some other varieties are still waiting. All the plants are having the same circle of water and fertilizers, some more mature than others. I guess my orchard location is my better than my home just a mile away. At home in ground, at orchard in containers. Containers have mixed horse manure and lots of worms are growing inside. Maybe they do good aeration to soil and fertilize it. I cover the soil with 3” mulch that is decomposing over the time and keeps the roots cool. Hope that will help. In need to do more videos to share my experience. Good luck. Alik

Or both people need to know these in depth questions do you use worm castings do you use bud and bloom flower girl do you use organic synthetic do you use a foliar spray we want to know everything

@@NatureWithAlik I watched your videos very thoroughly and I didn’t really find any details I have some plants that are going to be 4 years old and have yet to produce a fruit , do you let them dry out in between waterings ??? I think a good video you should make is how to get fruit on a stubborn plant because that’s a question a lot of people are answering I’m in Victorville 2 hours a way but its a world a way I’m 4000 feet higher than you and 4000 feet closer to the sun than you are so the UV index is a lot more devistating to me than to you guys

@@23dannyt we use slow release organic fertilizers. We add annually horse manure and I see earth worms in all my containers. Local climate makes a big difference as well. Light outside by perimeter of the orchard and huge street lights poles makes some affect. Cross pollination between 5-20 varieties in May-June. It’s probably just a spot. Breeze overnight and 10hrs sun during the day. Watering once a week. Good luck to you.
