I'm not going to give you grief bro. I sincerely want to know if you recovered the deer. I've yet to talk to anyone who has shot a deer in the ham that didn't die quickly and close by. I've yet to see anyone online that admits to the making a "bad shot" in the ham that didn't quickly recover their dead deer nearby. I've personally shot four in the ham...two hard quartering shots I pulled two inches right and one equipment malfuction sending arrow two + feet to the right of my aim at a 20 yard broadside 10 pt. The last one was 15 yard hard quartering away that I intentionally shot in ham with a longbow. Bone of the deer I've shot in the ham went more than 70 yards slowly,...then they all hit the ground and promptly died. I know that the majority of these shots are not hitting the femoral artery like everyone who made them said must have happened,. The fem atrety is a big artery that if hit, will spew blood like a hose and result in a dead deer within a few seoconds. I have a theory that most of these hits are just the ham muscle...which is vessle rich and receives 70+ percent of the cardiac output. The vessles here will not auto shunt blood away from an injury, and the deer can not move without keeping the wound open. They don't go far because it hurts, and they bleed to death within 30 minutes max due to the massive blook loss from the muscle wound. That said, I've never seen or heard of a ham shot that you can say for sure is 100% muscle. Most ham shots have the arrow traveling thru the lower intestine/bladder/kidney area also which contains a ton of major arteries. That shot, while I agree was a poor choice to take, absolutely hit nothing but muscle. I would like to know if you recovered it to add to the data I'm collecting on these shots. Right now I'm convinced that a ham shot is the most lethal, least likely to miss or go wrong shot you can make on a deer with an arrow. Would sincerely appreciate a reply on whether or not the deer was recovered and absolutely will not be giving you or anyone else grief about any shot. Thanks

Stone Creek Ranch is a beautiful and magical place to visit! It is so elegant but yet keeps the feel of the country and nature close at hand! What a fantastic place for your next event! Also, Ivan Video Productions knocks it out of the park with unique and very pleasing videos!

@@slickwilly4613 Moving there. I look at things way different. I saw many mixed race youth, intermingled with other kids from their school, who didn't seem to see their color the way us adults sometimes do. Several mixed race cheerleaders, boys on the football team and a few toddlers collecting candy right along side their white friends. Their friends were interactive with them, not excluding them. I just don't think that African Americans are into the parade thing as much. I am mixed race and grew up in an all white town in the 80s, Lodi California. I never really felt a racist bone in anyone's body. I say, give the town a chance. If the kids seem to be adjusted, then that is a great sign. It's all in how you handle situations and react to people. Some of my best friends were white growing up. To the guy in the comments who is leaving Louisiana to move to a white town, it's not about race, it's about how people behave. If you met me on the street, I guarantee I could be your best friend. Let's try and get past all this race stuff.

@@slickwilly4613 , Mountain Home is a small isolated town with no diversity. There's not much going on because it's a place where people go to retire. Honolulu of course is a mixed bag of all different kinds of people. I prefer somewhere else entirely separate of either of these places. Take care and good luck with your future plans.

Honestly as a bow hunter myself a quartering to shot is one of the worst shots you can try for on a deer. The deer weren't going to run off immediately you should have waited for a broadside shot. Maybe your new to hunting but I would definitely look at organ diagrams if I were you. Never take that shot again please.... if you take a quartering shot it should be away from you so the lungs and heart are exposed.

That was the absolute worst shot you can ever take on a deer. You should get rid of your bow and never hunt again. YOU NEVER TAKE A QUARTERING TO SHOT EVER

  • @wisconsinoutdoorsman7159

If you aren't skilled enough, yes. If your bow isn't tuned, yes. I've killed plenty of deer with a slight quarter to. It's all about arrow placement. and repetition.

i think i fixed this problem. I had the same problem - my Zenmuse was turing around by itself. I can give an advies - Just try to use some soft rubbers between your phantom and the Zenmuse. If you use some "plastic straps" or something else to hold/mount your Zenmuse... then make sure its not blocking your Zenmuse to turing around (let a free space between Zenmuse and your Phantom)
