Hi, I’m Angel Lawson, a theme park enthusiast and vlogger based in the UK.
The goal of this channel is to simply take you along for the ride as I visit various theme parks across the world, from those based in my home country, to those much further afield, covering on and off ride POV’s, events, shows, theming and atmosphere as well as construction updates and new developments.

This vlog was so much fun to watch, to actually get your reactions on the rides was brilliant, especially your first ride on Monster! Looking at that Ikaros drop tower that's what BPB need, it certainly would be taller😂 love that lighting package on Monster❤
Really pleased you enjoyed it Liz, I hope the pain I endured on Insane was worth it 😄 I would love to have something like Ikaros or Falcons at BPB, looks like we’ll have to make some with a gyro spin instead though, which isn’t a bad thing!

Of all of the tour videos I have seen of Six Flags Great america, I really have to say I think your narration is the most charismatic and exciting. You sounded like you were having a fun time and glad to be there which really made the video that much better.

I have ridden Hyperia twice so far. One on row 8 and the other on row 7. The ride experience is very different than other rides in the country favouring drawn out airtime/hangtime rather than rip your face off intensity. I may prefer nemesis but I'll visit towers for the first time at the end of the month.

Great video and great narration of the park! Holiday World really is one of the best theme parks in the country! For its size it may be the best in the US. We love WDW, Universal Studios Orlando and Sea World as well, but for the value HW is hard to beat. Once again, great job on the vlog!

I rode Hyperia for the first time a few weeks ago and there were my thoughts: 1. Theming/style - I know a lot of people are commenting and seem to be disappointed in the lack of theming however for me, I love the look of the ride and what they have done with it. Sometimes theming can make a ride look cheap and tacky and this ride is FAR from it! This ride deserves a classy look and I feel they have achieved that. The colours are sleek and modern, the station looks classy, it’s a beautiful look for a beautiful coaster and I approve of the styling they have done. My only gripes were that they had switched the water feature off so I’m hoping it wasn’t a case of leaving it on the first few weeks until the photos and reviews are out then switch it off and keep it as a rusty hole! I also found there were not many places to get any decent photos as everywhere in the queue has the fence around so for me to get a semi decent photo I had to wedge my phone camera between the bars! I do think there should be more view points of the coaster like Icon does. I love to watch the roller coasters go past and there just didn’t seem to be anywhere seating or viewing areas around. 2. Operations - amazing operations by the staff from what I could see, big props to the staff there as they were all professional and knew what was going on at all times and were keeping everyone moving to get the trains out as quickly as possible. We had a couple behind us on the single rider queue that said they hadn’t realised it was for single riders and were quite upset at the thought of having to go separately. They were given the choice of staying and potentially going separately or starting again in the main queue. They sorted the issue quickly so it didn’t stop the train running and managed to get them to make a decision and it was just all very professional and run perfectly. I really can’t speak highly enough about the staff they were spot on! Trains were zooming out every few minutes which is nice to see as some places the trains are held back quite a lot! I notice wickerman regularly has delays in the trains popping out of the station not too sure what the issues are with that one but it always seems to be slow getting them out even on three running trains! 3. The ride - I think we can all agree the ride itself is pretty amazing! Yes it’s a little short, we would all want it to be longer I’m sure but the ride you do get packs a punch! I only got to experience 9th and 10th rows and have to say the very back was brilliant, punchy and just nippy! The seats are perfection! I love love those types of seats I could have one in my lounge!! Very much a similar style to icon and many ways but also a different ride altogether. I would have loved a launch pad somewhere halfway maybe like icon does as that for me adds a bit more excitement but it’s not a criticism at all just me being weird as icon is in my top three! That zero g stall is for me the best part of the ride, hanging in the air upside down looking down at the queue line is pretty awesome! My only major disappointment in Hyperia is that it’s in Thorpe Park which for me is not my favourite park. The park feels a bit soulless and concrete and quite a lot of the staff when you ask them questions don’t know much (that is if you can ever find any staff round the park!) TP is just lacking something magical and special, it feels very bland and doesn’t feel like it’s run efficiently, there seems to just be general lack of staff. I’m an AT fan though so I’m always biased. TP is a slightly longer drive from mine that AT Is so if TP was in my doorstep I’d be there quite often for Hyperia! Loved your review and thoughts on this new ride though so thank you 😊

The theming / style does suit the ride, I think what they have works, I just wished it had been finished off better as the landscaping around was still in a bit of a state. It’s true that it’s difficult to get decent pictures of the ride, even out of the queue line in Fearless Valley it’s not easy, a shame really as it’s a stunning looking ride. I’ve had many rides on it now and I’m still yet to experience poor operations. It obviously had its issues in the beginning, but when it’s running, the dispatches are super quick and staff super efficient which is great to see. Alton Towers certainly has Thorpe Park beat when it comes to the views and the scenery, it’s a beautiful park! Can’t wait to head back soon for Oktoberfest and Scarefest! How long are the queues in summer holidays?
Queues tend to get longer the further in to the summer holidays you get (I guess a lot of people tend to go away at the beginning). I didn’t wait for longer than 35 mins for any ride this past Saturday 👍🏻

I do love the layouts of the Intamin Multi 10 Inversion Coasters and Sik is a great ride with the lap bars but i do love Colossus with the whole area, theming and soundtrack and yes there is less room with the over the shoulder restraints but i didnt it as unfcomfortble or rough as people say it it!
Colossus definitely isn’t too bad considering its age, as long as you push your head forward to avoid a good head banging 🫨
9:56 that tent with the human cannonball ride has been there for years. Remember riding it as a kid in 1995 during a stormy and horrible day to the park. There used to be many more kiddie rides there like a balloon one and a magic carpet. We spent the entire day in that tent cause of the horrible weather.
😄 Some parts of the park have definitely not changed in a long while!

Great video, they could enhance the area even more by putting a panning for gold area. They should move the Hillbilly shooting game from Adventure Cove into Frontier Falls as well as that fits the new area better.

I went to opening day on Friday and it was a great atmosphere but not too bussy, there was a big ish que formed by 10 and we did run too the ride but it opened bang on 10:30 and it wasnt any longer than 50 minutes to an hour the whole day which isnt bad at all for an opening day. I love how it has 2 different cycles and we managed 3 rides on cycle 2 and 1 ride on cycle 1 and id have to say i prefere cycle 1 as that launch backwards is insane and the launch back down the lift hill fowards is awsome too!
Both cycles definitely each have something great about them. I do prefer cycle 1 for the backwards launch though! Such a fun, rerideable family coaster. Loved it!
