  This wonderful lady is so much better than the half-naked oriental kids who seem to be popular nowadays! And the old instruments, in the hands of these exceptional musicians, work very well with early Beethoven.

  0:29 Liebe Leute von youtube, bitte reformiert mal euren Übersetzungsdienst, Maria J̌oão Pires ist eine Pianistin, und sie hat das sogenannte 'Regentropfen-Prelude' gespielt, nicht Wassertropfen. Das sind natürlich Kleinigkeiten, trotzdem ärgern sie mich etwas. VG Klaus

  I've played as a member of the deutsche kammerphilharmonie often with her under Trevor Pinnock the piano concerto KV 595 by Mozart, and if I remember on these performances, it was simply the best, that I've experienced in my musical life. And this Beethoven now:wow!!! Thank you Maria, as well the masterly late Frans Bruggenn.

  Jeu d'une exceptionnel pureté, d'une sensibilité exquise. Maria Pires est vraiment la plus grande pianiste de son temps et ce 4 -ème concerto lui convient parfaitement.
