TBH in the zero world My Zero S 2020 model with a charge tank is the best model :¬), 156ish mile and you can type two charge on the go if needed for long trips, that said I use it for going to and from work and charge it once a week for about £2 a week.

Unless you really want to ride electric due to global stuff etc, my next will not be a Zero. The 4th onboard charger in 7 years will be installed this week, 2 died in the first 2 years, the third died february 2024. A new one costs €1600! That for a motorcycle costing with powertank and hard cases over €20.000. I think right now, that is a fortune. After 7 years i wanted to buy the dsr X 2024, costing €26995, geting for the 2017 DSR black forest only €4000. In my humble opinion? The worst investment ever. See you later Zero friends, me most likely on a ICE again.

  • @NewZeroland

Plans changed again from this.. but the original idea was to make my own diff housing (imagine a coffee can with a sprocket bolted to it) and fill that full of oil. Now I'm going with an MX5 diff to make things look more professional and keep the maintenance down.

I've been eyeing this after randomly finding a used one about 10 hours away, not even a year old, for a hefty discount since the high price is a hard sell. Its definitely an upgrade over a Zero, though I wish it had a belt instead of chain, for less maintenance. For the high price, I honestly expected the battery to also be liquid cooled, especially with its performance. Honestly still on the fence because no dealer in my area, which means no way to get service or warranty work. And just watching your video on changing the oil, thats waay too much work just for an oil change. That alone is already making me consider a Zero again. At the end of the day, it still suffers from low range. My usual weekend rides are 100+ miles, riding in canyons pushing it hard. So it'll get less than the average 125 miles, much less than any ice bike I've owned, which have been mostly sport bikes around the 200 mile range. And then the charging time... anyone else I ride with will already be filled up while they're waiting on me. Well, they'll be waiting on me because I need to charge and they have fuel to go another 80 miles easily. And thats assuming wherever we go has a level 3 charger for the quickest possibility. I truly do want an electric bike, I already have a Tesla, so I'm 100% for electric. And honestly with what has been released over the past decade, I feel like Tesla would be the only capable to bring out an electric motorcycle that would actually get people to switch and for a good price. Otherwise such electric motorcycles are priced more than cars.

    This works for ALL Leaf models AFTER you've dropped that first bar. But here goes: RemainngBatteryMax% = 100 * RemainingBars / 13 (Approximately) RemaingBatteryMin% = RemaingBatteryMax% - 7.6% Leaf Bar Chart 11Bars = Between 85% and 77% 10Bars= Between 77% and 69% 9 Bars= Between 69% and 62% 8 Bars= Between 62% and 54% 7 Bars= Between 54% and 46% 6 Bars= Between 46% and 38% 5 Bars= Between 38% and 31% 4 Bars= Between 31% and 23% 3 Bars= Between 23% and 15% 2 Bars= Between 15% and 8% 1 Bars= Between 8% and Completely Knackered% EstimatedMilage = Manufacturer'sNewCarMileage * RemainingBattery% / 100 So in your case of a 22KwH (as it's this 22KwH that the display is giving bars against, not the 24KwH) Your RemainingBattery% at 5 Bars is between 38% and 31%. Which equates to between 8.3KwH and 6.8KwH So, as a rough guide for other Leaf owners, this formula was pretty close to your actual figure when correcting your maths. As your capacity actually worked out as 6.6KwH :) That's 3.1KwH / (94% - 47%) * 100% = 6.6 KwH Fun video. Nice to know some people are still patient. Nice one!

Great videos of the Energica, I love the machine, beautifull made product! and I was considering of buying on , but the weight and price new, kills it for me . A second hand older model are more heavy too. 286KG!!! and less battery capacity. That is 100KG heavier and double the price then a Monster SP wet... You can't compensate that with torque. On the straight maybe, but in cornering through twisties with such heavy bike, sorry, sucks. It spoils all the fun. And where i live there are almost only twistie roads. Still a wonderfull machine, new types still weights 260 kg. and +30000€. If they get near 220kg, i could live with that. I looked at a Zero FXS to, thats a lightweight machine but range is +/-100 km, and no fast charging, 1.3 hour...come on dudes! probably a great commtuter bike, but i wanna do more with it.
