my neighbor bought a good man brand new. and it turn out to be a badman. broke down 6 times less than a year, so I need to replace mine. I decide to go with carrier....
you have the best website
Where does the s1 and S2 wire go to and what gauge wire does it need to be? And if I have th2 s1 and s2 hooked up, do i need to hook up the thermostat wires too?
On my QCiQ 4 ton ducted heat pump the terminal for S1 and S2 are clearly marked. BE AWARE that both install manuals I received with the heat pump warn against using S1 and S2 terminals only under certain circumstances or the board may be damaged. Also says to NEVER apply 24v power to S1 and/or S2. You might want to call whomever sold you your heat pump for technical advice.
@@geraldhenrickson7472 Thanks for replying and I should have better worded the question. I have the same setup in the video above for terminals S1 S2 B W D in class 1 and R C Y1 Y2 L in class 2 for my ACIQ heat pump. I was wondering where the S1 and S2 wire connection from the heat pump go to? And if I have the 24 V thermostat wires hooked up like yours ( I see you have a red, blue, black and yellow wire in video), does the S1 and S2 still need to be hooked up in addition to thermostat wires or no?
DONT BUY THESE. THEY CLAIM THEY ARE MADE BY CARRIER,GOOD LUCK FINDING ANYONE THAT WILL WORK ON THEM, I JUST BOUGHT MINE AND THEY CANT EVEN TELL ME HOW TO HOOKUP THE EXTERNAL CONDENSATION PUMP, THEY WANT ME TO SEND THEM PICTURES BECAUSE THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OR SEEN AN EXTERIOR PUMP ON ONE THAT THEY HAVE SOLD, MINE IS THE ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD BUILT THIS WAY I GUESS!!!!. CRAP ALL THE WAY AROUND!! AND AFTER TWO WEEKS IT QUIT WORKING AND I AM STUCK WITH NO HELP. DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.DROP ANOTHER $7K PLUS INTSTALLATION ON ANOTHER BRAND? ALSO NO VIDEOS ON HOW TO FIX OR SERVICE THEM.
As a customer of 14 years, I’m extremely happy to say that my Goodman air-conditioning and furnace system has never broken down. Just recently The only part to go bad is a capacitor. And due to improper installation condensation lines the evaporator pan cracked. But other than that, my unit had never been touched for 14 years by any any service tech I’m extremely happy with Goodman is my first home and my first unit I’ve ever purchased
My AC WAS TILT IT FROM THE BEGINNING, I JUST found OUT THAT IT WAS DRIPPING WATER INSIDE..WAO MY SON PUT IT BACK STRAIGHT. NOW IS NOT DRIPPING
I have water drops on my air filter and option one through four isn’t the problem any solutions thanks
I don’t hear anything good about Goodman!
Thank you!
Very helpful. Would like a rundown like this for the dip switches. One comment. At 6:49 “if you are using 24V communication”… The connection between indoor and outdoor unit for both “Connection method A” and “Connection method B” use the S1 & S2 terminals.
Man the previous record of 94 days without a recordable “loss of work” injury is deplorable! Treat your workers better! Also your equipment is fucking garbage😢
Yeah you’re the most productive factory but yet your equipment is garbage! Evaporator leaks alone on your equipment are the bane of my existence😢 get your shit together and tell your shareholders it’s gonna be a rough year but in 5e long run you will be on top!
so the extra money spend on getting 97% instead of 80%... is being recovered by the electricity bill? like 2Fold?
Thanks ... very informative. May i know the dimensions of the wall unit?
Base on your explanation l remember
I disagree with the instruction at 1:45 to "Make sure it's perfectly level. There's no need to pitch it toward the drain hole". My Gree smells musty upon startup, probably because there's slight pooling of water. Knowing what I know now I would pitch it slightly toward the drain hole, like 1 degree.
FYI I would keep my low voltage wires aways from 240v load wires to avoid induction currents. Like in your video just move yellow and white wires away, move the supply black wires to the right.
Is there a way to use it as a heat pump in the winter and air-con in the summer?
Hi
Those coils were the worst, couldn’t really handle the pressure of 410a especially in the green grass states. The copper tubes were too thin and brittle. The aluminum do much better.
I hate watching women who obviously don't do any of the work , explain a system
I have a very large package unit
Anyway you could do a rundown of connecting a honeywell T9 to the ACiQ 3 ton heat pump?
Read the manual, it shows you in detail for all the wiring connections configurations.
I found the communicating Thermostat very easy to install and use. I couldn't run a new thermostat 18gauge wire to the air handler due to shared condo walls. I only had 4 wires existing and that's not enough to do the 24 volt thermostat. Using existing 18g wire from old non-communicating Trane unit made the thermostat install almost too easy. The directions state it's supposed to be a shielded wire, but mine works as its not near any 240 v wire or other power wire. I installed the ACiQ ducted 2ton unit and the amount of money I saved in electricity is amazing.
vs straight electric heat? i bet. What's the percentage if you had to guess, saved?
This is great 👍🏻 My parent will need HVAC system soon
waste of time
My will stop only stop once i smack it
Bruh they think we customers watching this😂😂😂we in the field lady
So y’all are responsible for all those leaking coils! Thanks Goodman you guys have made me some money now!! And now with those trash broad ocean evap motors I’m booked out 3 weeks!😂😂 ps them dogs won’t hunt!😂😂😂😂😂
Hi, Why is the recommended setup the 24v thermostat but the instructions later say that the included communicating thermostat is the most efficient? How much efficiency am I losing?
almost watched this until I noticed the affirmative action trash talking in the video
What if its warm when you walk by it and it has not come on all day because its hot outside? And the thermostat is turned off. Is that normal?
Furnace fan doesn’t shut off
Mine either. Any ideas?
Imagine listening to Affirmative Action Trash
Who can install it
Thank you for the great videos !
Thanks for sharing! I found it difficult to understand how the wiring was supposed to be hooked up from the paperwork with a thermostat.... (without using the signal cable to my indoor air handler). I have a 3 ton ACIQ unit with a 10KW Style Crest indoor air handler unit. I have not installed any of it as of this date.
Which is more efficient when it is 100 degrees outside?
Heat pumps suck in California because electricity cost. Pump blows cold air first hour when below 40F. Propane is best
I bought a new thermostat and didnt work
Same, I went and bought a newer model but still doing the same thing. Hopefully it's nothing big.
I bought over 18K, company authorized HVAC technician local and saved over half! Three outside units with 15 year LABOR WARRANTY, nine indoor air handlers, installed, for 30K even🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
OK No cost output for Gas...But how much did your electrical Bill Increase?
Is that ReallyVeryCrunchy??!! 🫨🤯 new found lore 📖✍
What was the point of this video😂😂😂 “this is what this is for but don’t look or touch without a service technician”
Hello, thank you for your video. Is it possible to have different air handlers connected to the same condenser? For example, a floor mount and wall mount air handlers.
Wow thank you 😊
For which rebate program are we able to get the rebate? Living in Virginia, the programs are not available yet.
Suggestion: Instead of showing that for $100 the heat pump generates 4x more heat, which is true, a better visual would be to show that $100 electric resistance outputs 10,000 btus and the heat pump for that same 10,000btus would cost $25. That would be a more relatable comparison for the end user and showcase a bit more effectively that heat pumps save on operating cost. Yes they produce more heat under like for like design conditions for the same cost but operating cost savings is the true winner with a heat pump.
Heat pumps are crap always will be crap thats why the they come with eletric heat
All I need is 2 air handler
