The Northwoods RV Life

The Northwoods RV Life

We grew up in Michigan around hunting, fishing, and camping. In 2012 we traded in a tent and bought our first travel trailer. We had a lot to learn but got through it together. We quickly learned there are many different ways that people RV.

In 2015 we purchased our 2006 Salem LE 30BHBS by Forest River travel trailer and began expanding our travels within our state. We have enjoyed many destinations, adventures, and lots of outdoor cooking with family and friends. We look forward to sharing our “ADVENTURE” with you. You can follow along with us at our Website, Instagram, Facebook, & KZread. We hope each and every one of you enjoy the journey of life along with us.

    Great comprehensive video about the burner assembly. You're also the only video I have seen that shows the secret reset button!!! Thank you so much! Now I need to check my refrigerator fuses. How can I get into the maddening black plastic box and find the fuses??

    Thank you! My awning got stuck in roll up mode before I could get the arms down close to the trailer, and we couldn't unlock the gear. This video should give this 1986 awning another 20 years! Thank you for posting this! 💯👍

    I've had that exact griddle since the end of March. Been using it on the back deck and RV camping. I agree with your complaints about the griddle but would like to stress how terrible the ignitor is. Mine was replaced under warranty with all new parts sent to me by Blackstone, the new ignitor was worse than the original. When the burners would light, there was so much gas build up I feared letting my wife light the griddle, I was certain she would get burnt. I finally replaced the junk ignitor with a universal electric version, it lights every time now. It was a very tight fit, but I got it shoehorned in there. I hope the coating on the griddle top ends up being durable, I love the easy cleanup. Eggs slide around like they are on ice. My first recommendation would be to replace the ignitor immediately.

    Use the long 8oz/227g butane cart instead used for tabletop stoves, propane burns hotter and is at much higher PSI, not a good substitute

    Question if i have a volvo 240 that has 3000lb that can haul. I'm putting a ls in it. 4.8 from a Silverado. So can you technically haul more given the engine swap

  • @TheNorthwoodsRVLife
    @TheNorthwoodsRVLife24 күн бұрын

    Yes and no.. might it be able to haul more because of horsepower and torque sure.. but this does nothing for the vehicles payload capacity. If anything it will likely reduce the overall towing due to the increased weight added by the engine. I highly advise to tow with a vehicle designed for the weight and not attempt "upgrading" a vehicle and expecting it to handle more than it was designed for.

  • @N4GUZZ
    @N4GUZZ24 күн бұрын

    @@TheNorthwoodsRVLife like said pure curiosity. I've seen campers haul by cars but not the weight or have the amenities that American campers have. Given that i didn't drive that much back home. I did more in the US. So i don't know if it's vehicle outside of the US are just smaller and les heavy or they just didn't care about that ratio of weight/hp/ stopping power.

    PACs should be banned. Physical human citzens should be the only ones allowed to donate... if you can't vote, you can't donate. Corporations, PACs, etc... if you can't vote, you can't donate. Period. Felony.
