This is an awesome build. It would help if you had a clutch on the V-belt pulley of the engine, so it'll idle without turning the pulley on the electric motor you used. That way it will not vibrate while it is idling; just a thought. I'm building one like this myself after watching your video.

Nice build. I've got an old Porter Cable belt sander that I'm going to modify and build into one of those sanders. It's such a great tool. I'm currently building a small version of a concrete vibrator for small moulds - sculpture and restoring vintage stairs with complex forms/tight spaces. Too many DIYers and even contractors skip that part of the process, and things fail after a new upper Midwest winters because of it. My neighbor spent $5K on a new set of front steps, which already have cracks and failures. It was totally avoidable. Sad.

I was looking at various builds. I don't have a shaft and bearings on hand and saw yours with the re-purposed electric motor as the vibrator. I built it much like yours and it works great!

Great workmanship! Thanks for sharing! Btw, could you explain why is that upper chamber added? Why is chimney not directly linked to the burning chamber?

Looks like it will be quite efficient. I’ve seen a few designs similar to this on uTube. I especially like your ash box and grate arrangement. I’ve built a few gas cylinders stoves but nothing like this. Nice job! 👍
