  Stop with the propaganda. They left because they were weary of the new free state. How would they fit in, what there role would be. They were established business people who thought business would be better elsewhere as they were unsure of what future lay ahead. They left for Britain and some to the new countries but most went to the north. They were treated with respect and still are in the 26 counties.
