  I always loved Holly, he was my favourite character, now, after watching these documentaries, i have gone right off him, he seems like a proper bellend. Sulking and refusing to work because his ball was taken from him, complaining about the smell of the chemicals in the jam, refusing to let Hattie Hayridge kiss lipstick marks onto his face. Im glad they sacked him!

  I can't bloody stand him! In the series 1 documentary, the actor for Todhunter bet on a horse called Holly and gave norman the ticket - the twat was entirely ungrateful because the horse didn't win! Hattie Hayridge supremacy, not only does she seem so lovely as a person but her performance is leagues ahead of norman.

  The Americans didn't really get it, to be fair. They tried to force it into the American snappy line format and did away with the pathos that really characterised the first couple of series. A real line from the American pilot was Holly telling Lister that the whole crew was dead and he'd been in suspended animation for 3 million years. Lister's response - 'My god.... My baseball cards must be worth a FORTUNE!'

  I love these making of videos for red dwarf, they were really done relatively recently after the show had wrapped up from the first 8 series.
