    Not a problem. I have videos for just about everything on this car. I would do air filter, cabin, air filter, spark, plugs, PCV valve, oil, change, clean mass airflow sensor, clean, throttle body, coil packs if it needs them and a brake and power steering fluid flush. I have videos on here for most of that and a lot of it on the Corolla playlist. 😎

I’m just a regular guy trying to make sure everyone can do the same thing. Thank you again for your kind words, They mean so much! Now you can go for a really nice dinner together instead of having to pay for someone else to do the mirror 😎

    So why wouldn't you pull the handle off before you tighten the screws? That would free up your hands to hold the door a little bit more securely maybe. Just wondering it's how I would do it

  • @NameItBuildIt
    @NameItBuildIt13 күн бұрын

    Good question. I was sitting down and actually holding the door with my feet So I didn’t need to. Also, the reason I do that is because when I let go of the handle, I want to make sure it’s perfectly level left and right (Horizontally) and not angled up or down. It’s a big thing for aesthetics. There is no right or wrong way, but when you’ve done hundreds of these, you find what works for you. 😎

    I just picked up a black on black 05 ls430 with 205,000 miles. Paint and interior is in great shape. I just restored the faded headlights and redid the peeling front bumper trim. I honestly just plan on lowering it with some tint and wheels and doing some diamond stitched leather interior parts. I had a black on black GS430 back in 2021 that I did the same exact build on.

    That’s amazing because after having this and Reading up about the Celsiors in Japan, I realize that they actually race the GS430 there. And it’s one of the most unbelievable handling able body Lexus has ever made with the same engine as the LS 430. I actually really want a GS now myself 😎 I actually had Trans Ams in the late 90s, but I always remember loving the SC 300 and SC 400 so much especially when it had the gold emblem on it. One day I wanna add those to my collection

    In a sidenote, I actually detailed for a really really nice Lexus dealer here in Jersey and the early 2000s and I actually got to drive a brand new SC 430 hardtop convertible when it just came out. And remember thinking the Mark Levinson was the best sounding system I’ve ever heard in a car from the factory. I build high end SQ Sound-systems, so it took a lot to impress me. 😎

    @@NameItBuildIt I come from the world of turbo manual 5 cylinder Volvos, which are really underrated cars in themselves with lots of potential but they often get overlooked. Regardless I had a 2nd gen gs430 and it was my first rwd car. It did have some body roll but it was pretty solid. I was really a wild kid back then and use to pull onto the highway drifting it. I bet with a strut bar and maybe some sway bars and bushings it would’ve transformed the handling to a whole new level but the car was solid. I only sold it because I was young and missed having a turbo manual car and the gas mileage.

    @@NameItBuildIt and I got lucky because my ls430 came with the mark levinson sound system and the old mod done by the previous owner was the installation of two small tweeters in the front door panels and a aftermarket touch screen radio to replace the factory unit. That sounds awesome! Everywhere I go I get compliments on my LS. Everybody thinks it’s a Mercedes, so I have to correct them. I absolutely love this car Because it was engineered legendarily, not because of its value, looks or handling. But Because it was made with love and by people who really truly love cars. I’m getting ready to take out the Mark Levinson system and completely start from scratch Because this is actually the quietest car I’ve ever been in Before doing any sound deadening at all. I built sound quality systems, so this is the perfect candidate for it. Lots of luck with yours, and I hope you make some videos of it 😎 I’m gonna make a lot of videos about it so if you ever have any questions and I can help you with any of the troubles that I had, let me know!

    I really appreciate those kind words thank you! honestly, the best way that I have found is just grabbing a handful and kind of broadcasting them out, but you could also put it in a small handheld spreader and do it that way. it’s kind of the same motion that people use when they’re throwing the glitter down on an epoxy floor in a garage, Or throwing a frisbee to someone very lightly. I would Try it by hand first this way you don’t know to spend any money on a spreader and if that doesn’t work one of the small handheld Work good for this. 😎
