Perfect! Thank you so much. And I found the source of the awful noise. Little rare earth magnets and a wood screw stuck to the drums edge. A bit of cleaning and it's good as new. Thank you for your wonderful instructions

Having a transmission and drive shaft connect to the tub is a very poor overcomplicated design of a washing machine. The belt should simply attach to the tub itself. Whirlpool owns 70% of the appliance market and every appliance is now made in Mexico at the same manufacturing plant. The insides are identical with the outer frame and badge being all that is different. Sometimes the board and buttons are different in their location, but operation of the machines are the same. Just fyi. And Mexico is not known for having a High Quality Control of their manufacturing processes. Only U.S. washers and dryers - Speed Queen. Well worth the money.

Thank you for making and posting this. It's clear and paced just right. Thanks for mentioning your other video for lifting the console panel held in place differently on other models of Kenmore dryers.

I had a pair Maytag Atlantis washer and dryer, had them 22 years washer went last year trying to find a replacement washer has been bs, Iv gone through 5 now, water level is crap or they making knocking noises like they are gonna explode or shake like they are going to take off, finally though I found a good one till I find out I cant reach the flipping cloths and the cold water button doesn't work. Now my dryer decided to stop turning on my last load of clothes, ugh. So hope this is it because I had a simple repair on it one other time, 350$$$$$$$$$$$ wont do that again, just buy a new one, THEY DONT MAKE ANYTHING LIKE THYE USED TO!!!!!!

Thank you for the tutorial. I saved my folks a service call with a replacement of a thermal fuse. I will also replace the timer soon as well as ours is worn out.

Thanks for the tutorial. There was a loud tick every revolution of the drum . I thought something was slapping the side of the body of the dryer. When opened, thanks to you, I found that one of the screws ,that hold the “paddles” that are on the inside of the drum, backed itself out almost an inch and was now hitting the inside of the side of the body of the dryer.

I need your help. I am up here in communist Canada and my Kenmore 90 series dryer is not starting. I first checked the circuit breaker and it’s fine. I noticed the door switch was no longing clicking and just dangling and the light in dryer would not come on when I opened it. So I replaced it. Dryer still would not start. I tested the thermal fuse with multimeter and it was unclear so I replaced it and still the dryer would not start. I tested the start button and it is working. Is it fair to assume the terminal/electrical port is fine bc the light comes in when I open the door so there is power to the dryer? What else could it be? Help

Do you have a video on how to put the dryer back together? I had a friend helping me with my dryer deep clean and we can't get the felt back in correctly so the drum isn't lining up correctly. Any suggestions on how to get it all back together properly?

Thanx for taking the tine to make this teaching video. If I would add anything, it would be a reassembly video. The fact that the 2 front pieces with the wiring are separate pieces caused me a little trouble during the reassembly. That way, you could add some points about how to handle the drum and tucking the padding in properly. However, it was still an excellent video and I am very grateful.

Awesome video and was super helpful for me. Question: after reassembly my dryer actually doesn’t seem as efficient with its drying. I cleaned out layers of built up lint and thought my dryer would be better than before. Is there something I could have messed up during reassembly?

Very nice! Don’t know how far I’ll end up having to take mine apart but we will see. Hopefully I’ve gotten enough gunk out of the lint and vent ducts that it will work… but may have to replace a few parts if that wasn’t enough. About to go put the lint trap back together now 🤞

Apologies for commenting on such an old video, but what exactly is the yellow/red wire and green/light green ground wire that you run into when pulling the door panel off? Mine is missing the entire metal strip and spade in the inside of the of the lint trap for that yellow/red wire to connect to yet it has the wire for it

My wife dropped her engagement ring into the lint trap, and it fell all the way down. This video was super helpful, I had to use needlenose pliers to pick it between the fan blades on the bottom. Thank you!
